Hell of an offseason we’re having

This doesn’t have quite the trolling power of a Hugh Freeze hire, but it’s still a pretty good comeback to Junior’s return to the SEC:

SEC Media Days is gonna be a blast this year.

A spread attack passing offense will never work in the SEC.

DREAD PIRATE LEACH!!! Love it. I can’t wait to watch him annoy the shit out of Saban and Gus and the rest of the West.

Leach is going to have a lot of fun at press conferences tweaking his humorless counterparts.

Some of those humorless counterparts are going to have a lot of fun running up scores.

Media Days are going to be lit. The SEC West coach group is a full-on clowncar. I. Cannot. Wait.

College football inching closer and closer to pro wrestling.

Next season the George Pickens headslam of Swilling into the stadium wall won’t be grounds for suspension, it will be the play of the year on Finebaum.

Leach and Lane on either side of the Egg Bowl? The football gods are doing CFB a solid! Hope they can pull a few upsets along the way.

Also that player may be the most influential person in the state of Mississippi, not just Mississippi football.

    PREDICTION:
Missy St with Leach will score more vs Bama than we do.

    CHANGE MY MIND.

Bad, bad hire, and this won’t end well for Leach (well, other than the handsome addition to his bank account). Leach readily admits he works more of a typical work schedule and damn sure isn’t putting in 80 hours a week or whatever. He also admittedly doesn’t like recruiting all that much. Those two factors alone reduce his chances of success to almost nil.

Oh, his O’s really have struggled against respectable D’s as well. For ex. he went 0-7 against UDub, while only averaging around 14 points in the process. And UDub’s D aint exactly dominant. Of course, from an entertainment perspective for the rest of us, the hire was an A+.

  19. The possibility is real that MSU with Leach could trip up Bama or LSU every so often. I like the prospect.

  20. Cade Mays planned on transferring to Tennessee since before the SECC, according to his brother. Doesn’t seem like he bothered to say much to the guys he’s been battling with for the last 2 years, though. This entire situation smells of shit. I can’t really wish CM the best in light of this. I can be petty. Sorry, not sorry.

Yeah, the circus has come to Mississippi.
