Earlier this year, I posted a picture of a Dawg flag hoisted in the Himalayas. Now, from reader Rick, here’s one from scenic Antarctica:
Damn, but we do get around.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23

There was a candidate for Congress recently who said something similar,
“The moon is probably the most tactically valuable military ground for earth,” the tweet said. “Rocks dropped from there have power of 100s of nuclear bombs.”

There was a plot line about that in Robert Heinlein’s book ” The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress. ” He must have read that and thought it was real.

Heinlein was my first though too. Google “rods from god” for some interesting space based weapons.

The really Bad-Ass part are the M-60 machine guns on each door. 700 rounds per minute. (ah, memories: Viet Nam 1970-71)

Our “Night Hawk” had a mini gun in place of the M-60 on the side with the light – 4,000 – 6,000 rounds per minute. It was “BAD ASS”.

Let’s see: The Arctic has melted pretty much and the Antarctic appears to be not far behind. Wonder how long that ground around him and to the mountain has been exposed?
It appears the earth is warming faster than can be denied, One of you ‘Publicans want to tell Donald?

On the bright side, we’ll probably get smacked with an asteroid sooner or later and we won’t have to worry about it anymore.
