It’s a really good film as well. All the dudes screaming “My Generation” at the party takes me back!

I saw Pete and Roger on their Quadrophenia tour a few years ago at the Gwinnett Arena. A great show in general, but they killed it with this number. Unforgettable.

As a 42-year-old, I was obviously not even alive when this album was released. However, I discovered it in college (while a student in Athens), and it became one of the seminal pieces of music in my life. Incredible stuff.

One of their all time best. Great album overall.
BTW, their new album is really good. I recommend it.

Not Who related but, made my first ever visit to the Hargray Capitol Theater in Macon this past Friday night. Nice little venue, the wife and I saw country artist Frank Foster. Some kids called Crawford & Power opened up for him. Both acts were good.

oh, and we’ll be at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall this Thu. night to see Rodney Crowell. Can’t wait for that one, never saw Rodney before!

I saw Jeff Tweedy (solo) at Hargray Capitol Theater last year and also thought the venue was nice. Looking froward to seeing Son Volt there on April 30th. Also, Rodney Crowell is one of my favorite singer-songwriters. Hope y’all have a blast on Thursday night! 🎶

I’ve had a running debate with a friend for…. 30+ years now? I say Quadrophenia, he says Tommy. To me, it’s not even close, and this song is always the trump card.
Now, the debate with Quad. vs Who’s Next? That’s a tougher call, and I go back and forth but it’s gotta be WN.

To me, you can really hear the change in the band through those three albums. All are great and it’s hard to choose just one.

Have you seen the doc on the making of WN?

This is just one man’s opinion, but I’ve always considered Who’s Next the second greatest album of all time. Every song a classic. Only Abbey Road beating it out.

It’s hard to disagree with AR, WN, and Exile. Layla is a classic but not in my personal top 10.
