Your Daily Gator is philosophical.

The Portal Master shares his approach to recruiting.

And sometimes you approach the way your staff recruits in the same way Mark Richt approached retaining Willie Martinez.

I’m totally cool with that, Dan.  On you, it looks good.

… like ANYONE would answer no to that question. It’s like asking my kids, “did you break that lamp?”. “No dad”. Ok then. As you were.
    Great job, Dan!

Keep up the “good” work Danny Boy!

The mention of Martinez has given me a nervous tick. Bugger it all.

A head coach who can’t recruit and a DC who won’t recruit: There’s a formula for success if I ever saw one. They can’t even show off the campus. It’s a jumble of bldgs. crammed into a tight rectangle trying to fit in 40,000 students. They need to hire the bagman away from Auburn to have any hope at all.

Sometimes you just don’t get the guys you want. The next question out of a real leaders mouth would be “why didn’t we get them”? Side Show Dan is never going to fix the problem if he never looks for the problem, and that’s perfectly fine with me.

So glad Dan hired Kevin Bacon’s character from Animal House to assess their recruiting efforts.

If Mullen is the Portal Master, that makes Gainesville the Portal Potty.

    Works for me.

The Portal Master is missing from the Lexicon. Please add it. It’s a keeper.

Is he truly the Master, tho? Or is he also second place in the East at maximizing portal talent??

Was that interview over the phone? Ole Dan is up here at Lake Oconee this week. A buddy of mine saw him working out at the Lake Club.

Mullen is a jokester … a goober. KIrby is organized and serious. He has the whole of UGA orchestrated into the process.
