Who’da thunk Geoff Collins would be casting a wider net than Kirby Smart?

That’s what you do when you’re trying to be the coolest, I suppose.

Of course, it’s not the offers that matter, just the acceptances.

Easier to cast out more offers when you’re expecting more rejections…

GT is no doubt recruiting differently now. Good for them….in the past they really weren’t recruiting at all.

The Stanford number is pretty interesting. I remember a while back I heard an interview with David Shaw and he talked about how signing day didn’t mean to much to them because they were done with their class way before signing day arrived.

I remember that David Shaw interview. Clemson with 57 is eye catching when you compare the other number totals out there. Have they been a regular at giving out a lower number of offers than the other successful programs? Or have they recently gotten more selective? I want to say that I remember reading that they’re a selective outlier. At least with Dabo calling the shots.

Same as tossing mud against the wall and seeing what sticks – Game Show – 1st Prize – offer from GA Tech, 2nd prize – 2 offers from GA Tech

Not surprised at the disparity in the number of offers. There are a lot more 2 and 3 stars (GT) out there to offer vs 4 and 5 stars (UGA)

Rather him do that than focus his efforts on the ones we are not signing in Georgia.

I’ve wondered if the leftovers in the state of Georgia will consider Tech. And, the leftovers are not shabby. I’m sure Auburn, Clemson and FSU will get theirs but there will be years when our state is busting at the seams.

Each offer has a picture of Ed McMahon on the cover, and says: YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY WON…

  11. I’m sure every one of the offers he sends out is for a player who will be in calculus 5 his first year at Fech according to the Mensa members at StinkTalk.

I just got an offer from Tech in the mail! Al. I have to do is deposit some funds with their Nigerian director of admissions and they’ll send me the scholarship info. Should I do it?

You all will stop laughing when Coach WH signs 227 new recruits in December. Due to having about 10 more years of paying off Paul Hewitt, they probably can only afford about 19 new helmets for them, though

Stanford really does fish in a smaller pond. It only goes after guys who truly fit in academically at Stanford.
Years and years ago Hall of Fame Southern California coach John McKay said that recruiting against Stanford was hard because a player smart enough to get an offer from Stanford is smart enough to accept it.

If you’re at GT you have to do a lot of asking before you get a date.
