TFW life goes on

Saw this news this morning and it got me to wondering:  in sports, is there a more random act of optimism right now than a kid putting his name in the transfer portal?

  1. If I didnt play a down…may consider keeping my name on full time. Now, if i have no future, i may need to ride that scholarship. But lots of practice and never play gets old.

TFW? I had to google it, and have in the past since you use it so often. I can’t seem to remember what it means because I can’t recall ever hearing someone start a sentence with those three words. Is that common? I guess I’m not current.

If you think about all the attention most of the D1 kids got being recruited out of high school, they’ve got to think other schools really want them and will play them more than they’re playing now.

Yeah — he is in need of perspective. Reminds me of this:

My college roommate spent the bulk of the day on Wednesday trying to convince his 21 year old that it would be a bad idea to buy a cheap airplane ticket and head to Europe or Africa.

Though I do have to admit, the $482 RT to London alert I received on my phone this morning is tempting.
