Greg McGarity’s statement regarding the SEC’s reaction to the coronavirus threat can be read here. Money graf (literally):
It’s the right thing to do, of course, and I give him credit for being straightforward about it.
But it’s the reason why I don’t expect to hear anything about the start of the football season until very late in the game, regardless of how serious the problem appears to be in late summer. Can’t say I blame him for that, either. There’s just too much outside his control.
Let’s hope he gets his sunny day.
I agree Senator. McGarity did make the right call and is being straightforward with it.
At the same time, does anyone think he hasn’t told himself at least once “this is why we need the reserve fund. We need to save more! I am the smartest business man alive!” Que Monty Burns from the Simpsons.

Extending the March 31 football season ticket order/payment deadline would also be the right thing to do.

Why would we cancel football season now, money or not?

CWS has already been cancelled so consideration of cancelling football should start in 3…2…1. Not much optimism in this crisis.
