For those of you who think Georgia has issues on offense going into the 2020 season, there are issues on offense and then there’s Vanderbilt.

“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23
If Lanning gets a shot at a head coaching position after this year, look for Kirby to hire Derek Mason.

The returning D doesn’t look so bad: “Vanderbilt returns plenty of experience on the defensive side of the ball as all 11 position starters and each of the top 11 leaders in tackles will be back.” But Ted Roof as DC?
Looks like Vandy has an outside chance for 5, maybe 6 wins, IF their offense can put a few points on the board. They could be 3-1 when they come to Athens.
Before folks castigate me about Covid-19, I’m just talking as if the season went normally – though I realize that is very unlikely.

I’m doing the same. Honestly, it’s all we can do right now.

I’ve gotten to the point on this whole thing that I really don’t care. All I can do is do what’s in front of me and take care of my family. If they play and I can attend, great. I’ll be in my red & black in my seat in Sanford. If they don’t play, I’ll be working on my golf game more this fall than I ever have. If they play and fans (including students) can’t attend, to hell with them for 2020.

Maybe there’s hope for Vandy after all.
