Considering all the things over the years Kirk Herbstreit has uttered that deserved condemnation but generally haven’t, I find it a little weird that people are taking offense about his concern that we may not get a college football season in 2020.
I get that denial likely plays a part here. Nobody wants to consider the chance, growing stronger seemingly every day, that we won’t get football on time, but it’s not as if Herbstreit’s said something that makes him history’s greatest monster, either.
I can’t believe I just quasi-defended Herbie.
Hate to say it but I think Herbstreit is right. I do not think we get a shortened or delayed season. I think we get no football this year. Sucks, but I think it’s true. But, hey, if you’re into that sort of thing, whenever TV and movie production picks back up I think we’ll see a whole lot of stories with a global pandemic asa plot device.

I wasn’t ready to write it off until a couple days ago I realized how infeasible it would be the moment you had one single player on your team who tested positive after practicing. You would need mandatory isolation for every player who had contact with that player. The first positive test wipes away your roster and forces you to cancel games.

What I really meant when I gave you the finger, obviously, was that I respectfully disagree. Sorry you got your feelings hurt. I hope you’ll finally just let this go and take this apology like a man.

I think we should wait until we see what mascot head cover Corso puts on before we reach any conclusions…

Good grief Senator, nobody with half a brain is saying Herby is “history’s greatest monster”. Most rational people believe it’s way too early to predict the fate of 2020 NFL and college football seasons. Kirk’s Tweet is another example of a media personality opening their trap and adding to the hysteria.

In just a short time as a Power 5 coach, Drinkwitz sure seems to like to talk and get his opinions out there. He may have a bit of the Spurrier “snark” personality, let us see if his record can back it up.

I don’t think Herbie makes that comment without the approval of the Mouse.

Well I agree with the Senator. Herbie, as the college football wizard behind the curtain, whether it was self proclaimed or just a product of his job description, did not say anything anybody else is not logically thinking. I also don’t think he stepped out of his lane by saying it. Now don’t come after me for supporting Herbstreit either.

Until there’s a solid treatment or vaccine, it’s going to be a huge risk for people to gather in large groups (like stadiums and crowded locker rooms).

Stacking the shit higher in favor of Herbstreit’s statement, we now have news that some of the tests are in question because of the test kit(s). Our walk into the dark woods has just hit the forest and all those trees. How and where we come out the far side hasn’t been figured out yet.
Let’s just review the old film we have to enjoy the Dawgs and their past exploits while whistling through this literal graveyard.

You live in 21st century America and find it weird that the public reacts against something realistic, and logical? Even when smacked in the face with indisputable facts it oft blows right over (through) their little air-heads. I am more surprised that I haven’t seen a daily odds listing on whether there will be a season or not, and over/unders on the start date, and number of games that will be played.
