The secret to their success

Say what you will about Missouri, but those guys sure know how to schedule.

Over the last three years, Missouri is 2-16 against FBS teams that finished with a winning record, and is 19-1 against teams that finished at .500 or worse and FCS programs.

Yeah, I don’t think the Tigers are going to be pushing the SEC to go to a nine-game conference schedule any time soon.

There was no better sign of the chaos in the SEC East in the mid 2010s than a mediocre Missouri program winning two in a row followed my a mediocre Florida winning the next two.

    • Eh – that’s a bit unfair to 2013 Mizzou. 2014 was definitely a Georgia choke job, but their 2013 team was a legit top 5 squad any way you want to slice it. It’s unfortunate that they caught us the week after the massacre at Neyland Stadium and Gurley’s injury against LSU. JJ Green and Brendan Douglas being RB1 and RB2 was not optimal against anybody.
