One of the biggest reasons I have for wanting a 2020 football season is to see the hopes of the loser of the World’s Greatest Meteor Game crushed.

Chaser.
The number of Tennessee fans in my mentions saying that Lincoln Riley is only urging caution so that he can avoid playing the Vols — a program with more losing than winning seasons since 2008 — is truly remarkable.

He’s a man who cares about his players, coaches, and staff. That’s commendable and what a leader should be all about.

Lincoln Riley is young, his program is on the cusp of greatness and he coaches at a school that’s going to play football in the future come grease or mud, shit or blood. He can afford to be patient.
Tennessee is a bunch of washed up, desperate losers looking for luck and relevance. Their fan base are delusional, ignorant hoogies who don’t give a shit about players welfare. If they cared they’d do something about that cow pasture they call a football field.
I’m glad I’m not the fellow being pressured to risk young men’s health and lives along with the collateral health of spectators for gotdam entertainment.

FWIW, they did fix the field a few years back. Whole new grass team.

Thank you, Chuck. I did notice the Dawgs escaped that pig sty without major knee injuries last October. I attributed it to luck and better S&C.

Senator, thanks for mentioning the Meteor Game. That will be glorious to watch one of them lose. Any way they can both lose?

Isn’t a tie possible again? A tie plus a beatdown administered to each by UGA would be delicious!

Yeah, a meteor hits their worthless stadium and takes everybody out. That’s why they call it a meteor game.

Or it could be the covid19 game, where everybody misses the meteor strike and dies from the virus instead. Doesn’t sound so slick that way does it.

I’d sure welcome for a Daily Vol Series. The Daily Gator has become some of my most enjoyable reading. Seems like we deserve a few nice things!
Also if Geoff ever turns the corner with his middle 20-30th ranked classes, would absolutely enjoy a “Daily Buzz” then too. The delusion on North Avenue would be glorious.

I’d love to beat them 223-0 on the flats just to rub it in.

Tennessee’s fanbase must seem really bizarre to anyone under the age of 40, who likely views them as another Vandy with a 100,000-seat stadium.

The Vols are something else. But, you know, hey, they have the 4th longest winning streak in college football! They have the #2 recruiting class of ’21! All the momentum! Everybody better get outta the way!
