“… there are 12 teams with at least a 10 percent chance or greater to reach the College Football Playoff this season… “

… and Florida isn’t one of them.  Bummer.

Love the name of Oklahoma’s quarterback, Spencer Rattler. What’s the over/under on the number of times an announcer in an Oklahoma game says “Rattler strikes” or “another strike by Rattler?”

Wisconsin’s name is slud in there again. Wasn’t this the order of their picks last season? Why does Wisconsin get there before the Dawgs?

Right C baby. The list is BS. Penn Sate? Wisconsin? No chance. FU has a better chance than they do. OU is waaay undervalued. They’ll go through that Mickey Mouse Big 12 schedule undefeated like Clemson does in the ACC and both of them will be in the playoff. Oregon won the PAC 12 last year and didn’t get in—what’s different this year? Bama will win the West and even if they lose the SECCG the committee will put them in. Every other SEC team has to win the conference to get in. LSU is rebuilding and likely can’t beat Bama this year. Auburn simply isn’t good enough. Georgia has to win the East and beat Bama in the SECCG to get in. That said, if Georgia
were to beat Bama in the regular season and lose to Bama in the SECCG and that is Georgia’s only loss, Georgia would get in. UCF and FU have about the same chance—maybe not zero but pretty damn low. The advantage FU has is the schedule. With LSU rebuilding FU could beat LSU and then only have one hard game left—the WLOCP. Even if FU lost to Georgia FU could still win the East if Georgia loses to Bama and gets upset by another SEC team. I’m that event FU could make the playoff by beating Bama in the SECCG, which I do not believe will happen.

No. If we beat Bama regular season and lose to them in SECCG we don’t get in under the Herbstreit Doctrine. Haven’t you been paying attention the last 20 years?

Easier path to the playoffs. SEC team has the most difficult path as they have to come through the SEC and usually win the playoff, unless you’re Bama.

best way to make sure the gators are not considered is to just beat the stuffings out of ’em in Jacksonville (if we play)

Has to be a mistake since it suggests UGA is favored to win the East over Portal U

Clemson’s and anOSU’s high percentages tell you a great deal about their conferences. If Oklahoma had ever won a playoff game, their percentage would be higher for the same reason.
