What a contrast in voices. Nanci sings like an angel and Townes, well, he’s Townes. That song works. Thanks Senator.
I mostly forget my Mama’s name is Carolyn. I call her Mama.

Just listened to that beautiful song having a cup of Joe on the banks of the Blanco River in Wimberley, TX! Thanks for that Senator, it made a special memory for sure.

I prefer Nanci’s version from Other Voices Other Rooms because her voice is so pretty, but there is a charm about TVZ and the pain in his voice. The writing is absolutely brilliant. It’s probably the saddest song I’ve ever heard.

I am a big Nanci Griffith fan. What I like about this is she is blending with TVZ so well. It’s not about her; it’s about the song. I admire that.

  6. Sorry Senator but I could have gone the rest of my life never knowing who these two were and would have been none the less for it. I understand each of us has our own likes and dislikes. This kind of music does nothing for me.

Dang. Would have never guessed the Senator was a Nanci Griffith fan! She’s got some great songs.
