Well there’s your first spot to get some savings. Those P5 AD’s could hand back 90% of those salaries and most would still be overpaid relative to their value.

Looks like one would want to be an AD in the Big 12. But then you would have to live in Manhattan KS or Lubbock or someplace like that.

When I first moved to Houston, everyone I met had either gone to Texas or Texas A&M. Since we were all engineers, I asked why I haven’t met anyone from Texas Tech. One of the guys (from El Paso) said “have you ever been to Buttock (Lubbock)?” He said it was the only place he’d seen where there was literally tumbleweed blowing through the middle of town.
