Looking forward to seeing him light it up this fall.

Every time his photo appears, I see him banging a Tech helmet against a brick wall. It truly resonates in an old fart’s Dawg heart. That used to be the meat and potatoes of the Freshman Game at Thanksgiving every year.
Pickens, unassisted, has placed us back into the memory of their black hearts, but now with a warm feeling that cools into a plate of revenge. You youngsters wouldn’t understand unless you view that game played during the 5os and 60s.

Us youngsters would just like to see a competitive enough game for us to get some credit for winning.

Tech sucks and has sucked for a long time and losing to them ant time in the last 25 years is an embarrassment. And then beating them does nothing for our SOS

Yep, I hate Tech , but would actually like for them to field a good team. There’s nothing better than beating Tech when they’re good. Beating the current Tech program just doesn’t seem sporting.

The freshman game was a close second in importance to the varsity game itself. The Atlanta Constitution used to run a position and player summary for the week prior to the game. It was covered on Friday just like the big game. It had no equal.
