Swamp247 thread starts as an observation that Florida recruiting isn’t keeping up with the elite programs and quickly pivots to asserting that’s proof Kirby Smart can’t coach.

    They might have a point. Maybe not. Last I checked recruiting was part of coaching and Kirby is a helluva lot better than TPM cousin Eddie. What’s for sure is The Dawgs haven’t lost to those trashy twats in three years.
    Fuck those motherfuckers.

    Yes, most lousy HCs entering their 5th season have won 3 straight division titles, an sec championship, a Rose Bowl, and took the national championship to OT.

      Nice post there, WCD. The typical Handbag fan from North Florida has trouble with putting coherent, rational thoughts together. Kirby’s record speaks for itself. Since the homecoming disaster against Vandy in 2016, the Dawgs are 40-9 with a national title game appearance, 3 SEC championship game appearances with 1 SEC title, 2 NY6 bowl game wins with 3 appearances, and 2 consensus #1 overall recruiting classes.

      But the guy responsible for all of that can’t coach. Right …

    When you’re a Gator fan and have lost 3 in a row, baby… to the Dawgs, one must hang their hat somewhere. Let them keep thinking Disco Dan is a better on field coach. As long as Kirby keeps beating them they can think whatever they like.

    We had a hole at DB and we had a hole at WR and lack of pass rush (and awful OC) but the rest of the classes were exceptional. No more holes.

    We’re seven years into the playoff era. If your team hasn’t even been considered for a playoff spot yet, much less garnered one, you’re team isn’t relevant.

    Well, Kirby hasn’t really won anything with all that talent.

    Other than 3 SEC East titles, 1 SEC title, 1 Rosebowl/Playoff game, and took the NC to OT. But other than that, what’s he really done for us? 😉
