Moar Newman context

This is good advice about how not to read too much into Jamie Newman’s 2019 season at Wake Forest.

He played in an offensive scheme light years away from what he’ll be playing in this season.  The stats he generated will only take the analysis so far.  You have to trust that Smart and staff evaluated Newman carefully and saw enough physical ability to make for a successful transition.

I figure that Kirby Smart and his offensive staff and analysts saw enough positive in Newman to make him the top transfer QB prospect. They evaluate talent for a living. I don’t.

    • Stats don’t lie, film don’t lie…interview process, that coach to player talk, the mental thing that came out of “Hello Newman” is what may have landed him in Athens town….good for him, good for UGA

No Trask in Tier 2? By the way the Gators paint it, I should be schocked.

I’ve got no issues with Newman’s ability at all – I’m much more worried about the lack of spring ball, access to facilities, and interaction with teammates.
