Shrugging off the narrative

There’s only so far some folks can go, I guess:  247Sports ranks Georgia fourth in the preseason, two spots ahead of the Gators and CBSSports has Kirby Smart third in its SEC coaches rankings, two spots ahead of the Portal Master™.

Reality is gonna drop on the ‘turds like a ton of bricks before Halloween. It’ll be Tennessee or Kentucky that does it. That team is not that good. They’re replacing a ton of departing talent with players who were not blue chip recruits. Trask is one of the most inefficient QBs in all of CFB on passes that travel 10 yards or more past the line of scrimmage. They have zero running game.

I already said it, but man, the “I told y’all so’s” about Floriduh are going to be one of the best parts of this entire season.

    • I’m really not understanding how people are not understanding about their running game. How does it get better from last year? And it was really bad last year.

Honestly all this Internet Florida talk is like my annual run in preseason with an Auburn fan talk.

I think all their hopes ride on that 5* Miami RB transfer that (supposedly) got cleared to play. But I think it really comes back to the OL. As UGA fans, we know very well from the 2016 season that you can have a fleet of NFL-caliber RBs in the backfield, but if your OL is awful, it just doesn’t matter in the SEC (or even against Nichols).

Also, how does UF end up after their thin OL gets Trask murdered like they did with Franks last year? I guess it will be EJ for Heisman at that point.

        • One RB for the season just doesn’t get it done though. It’s all AU and UK had in the last couple of years, was amazing to watch, but out of schiltz by the end of year

There was a story on Lingard in the Daytona news over the weekend. They listed him at 6’ & 200 lbs. Not a very big RB at all.

So when I look at fu, my question is “where’s the beef?”.

I hope you’re right. I see FU losing to UGA and LSU. I would love for UK and/or USCe to dust the Handbags. Also, if FSU could get their sh!t together and do it would be good. Hard to pull for the Vowels though, plus UT isn’t there yet with personnel. The rest of the 2020 FU schedule looks like they skate through it. Weak.

    Defund FU!

With four new HC’s, this season could be border line entertaining (every other week), ya don’t like to say it, but it’s the bammers, UGA and maybe lsu….that’s all… i do want to see how aggieland and the tigles navigate those hc’s contracts going forward, should those teams have 8-5/9-4 seasons (or worse)….
