“Current UF Projection: #9-#10”

This is a link to a Swamp247 post, but it’s not fuel for a Daily Gator post here.  Instead, it’s a reasonable, detailed projection of where Florida is likely to finish in the Composite recruiting standings with its 2021 class.  [SPOILER:  Several spots below Georgia.]

There are summaries of all the usual suspects.  If you like getting into the recruiting weeds, it’s a good read.

Read that post, pretty reasonable for a Gator board. Of course, they must have written it before L Caroll ended the rumors about a flip. I love the fact that they are resigned to #9 or 10, which places them 5th in the SEC by those projections, maybe 6th if Auburn closes well.

He brings up a point about UT that is a good one. UT is full right now, but they could easily start cutting the bottom of their class to make room at the top. UT could challenge UF for that ast top 10 spot.

“A common question was what exactly did our staff do between Mid-March and Early May?”

That answer’s easy, no spring practice = more easin back at Lake Oconee.

A reasonable projection from those guys? That’s more impressive than anything Sideshow Dan is actually able to pull on the recruiting trail. I wonder how much the Three Star General in Hillbillyville will actually trim from his 3-star-laden class, though? I honestly don’t see them closing on many more blue chip guys than they have, and the thing is, much like with Floriduh under MuLLLen, I see it far more likely that we or Bama or Clemson take the few blue chip players they have in later year flips after they lose a bunch of games. That November game in Athens is gonna be huge for them. Likely it’ll make the difference in a 6 or 7 win season. They’re not going to be very good this year.
