Gators Breakdown

An hour’s worth of debate about Florida or Georgia as the winner of the SEC East can be listened to here.

Basically, if you’re a Florida fan, you’ll talk the schedule and the offenses.  Georgia’s defense is more a subject worth ignoring.

I keep coming back to one thing — Georgia, with a terrible offense, beat Florida last year.  With my standard turnover caveat in mind, it seems to me for Florida to win this season, its offense is going to have to improve from last season more than Georgia’s defense does.

Florida can’t control the line of scrimmage vs UGA. That’s why they lost 3 in a row and this year, barring the aforementioned turnovers, COVID issue or a bus crash.

Yep, this is it. We’ll control the line of scrimmage and from there the Gators don’t really have a chance, barring turnovers or Penn Wagers/Marc Curles.

The delusions Floriduh ‘turds are one thing, but that the pundits keep making these idiot arguments for FU while conveniently ignoring the same kinds of arguments for Georgia (no way the offense could be worse, the defense will be as good or better from the No. 2 overall defense in CFB last season) is beyond idiocy at this point.

You know what? #FTMF isn’t just for ‘turds and MuLLLen. It’s for all these dumb mf’ers, too.

I hope to see sixty minutes of the Dawgs beating that gator trash ass to settle this debate come this Halloween.

I see your 60 minutes “of the Dawgs beating that gator trash ass’ and raise you an empty FU side of the stadium by midway 3rd quarter plus no taking a knee in the 4th quarter with a 28 point lead….gaytur war cry for next season, “wait till next year, ya’ll won’t have that wake forest guy any more and your defense will suck”….

Exactly when was this pome de rue started that compares FU orally to UGA? Other East teams (SC Ken) would compare more favorably than the FU assholes.

Agreed. The most common theme in Mullen’s appearances against Kirby is Mullen’s inability to score on Kirby. If UGA’s offense improves at all, Mullen’s chances look slim.

Their defense shouldn’t be any better, and our offense can’t be any worse. They’ve lost some talent, but they should be able to reload. We should be able to reload everywhere, and Newman looks to be capable at a minimum.

Their offense can improve some on the OL and perhaps Jones at QB could be an improvement, but UGA’s defense is loaded and our defensive scheme is kryptonite for Mullen.

They could win the game, but they’re going to need some big plays or turnovers.

Actually I thought our offense played well against them last year. We got some clutch plays from Fromm, Cager, Swift, and Wolf. I think they are banking on us struggling because of a new qb, new ol, new te, new rb, new oc, and a more difficult schedule. And they know they have to beat us to win the east. It will be a hard fought game.

Superior athletes on the UGA D against an inferior Offensive scheme and athletes, the result will be a long day for UF. We will be ok on offense with the better OL and depth at RB.
