I can convince myself that UF will win the East. Us in 4th? I’d bet body parts and family member lives we don’t struggle THAT much.

Of the top 4 on each side, I see one I think is correct.

  5. Who are the blooming idiots with those takes? If they’re so smart, they probably should be in Vegas loading up on the early betting lines.

    • Is that logo used not that of the cfp committee/espn group, if so then those peeps are from Micky’s dark side under the guise of savages…not to mention, the UGA sideline turn over crew owns those shoulder pads….

    • Why was the SEC so dumb to give up the CBS contract? I know why, but the national publicity for the league was beyond.

What was CBS not smart enough to pay the SEC what it was worth?

I agree that having the SEC on CBS is far better than fucking ESPN, but CBS simply didn’t come close to paying what the contract was worth. They made a bad business decision that will come back to bite them on the ass.

        • I get that, but publicity of your best game on the public airwaves definitely had some value.

Problem was on both sides … CBS didn’t see the value of having the best national game in most weeks on its platform, and the SEC didn’t see the value of the over the airwaves game in an exclusive slot.

ESPN won the battle because of the SEC Network partnership and the money Mickey was willing to pay. I do wonder if the eventual deal will put the 3:30 game on ABC, and Mickey will eliminate the regional games that have traditionally had that slot.

Isn’t that the expectation? I really don’t have the time to go back and do the research, but I thought that was the expectation, that ESPN will schedule multiple SEC games at 12, 7, 7:30, and 8 on ESPN, ESPN 2, and the SEC Network, but that the game of the week would be on ABC at 3:30.

            • I did a quick search and couldn’t find any details about the ESPN proposal. I think a lot of what’s out there is pure speculation on the plan. The only way this makes any sense for Mickey would be the offer of the 3:30 slot for a national game on ABC. If that’s the offer, then I totally agree that CBS screwed up by not stepping up its offer. If it’s on ESPN exclusively, I would suggest the SEC discounted the over the air value.

The As in their logo looks a lot like the Avengers logo. I wonder if Marvel/Disney gave them permission to use that.

For LSU to be 7th in the west they would need to be about 2-6 in conference play and that’s probably 6-6 or 5-7 overall. Does anyone think that is likely?
