I remember the 90s when we won 10 games twice in the decade, so the answer for me is “Hell, yes.” We played for 5 SEC championships and a national title in that time.

I thought we had a CFP semifinal win.

I figured with corona that everything on the spring real estate front was getting backloaded as people start to look and buy again.

It’s been a mixed bag, tbh. Residential refis are through the roof, but purchase/sales are a little slow. Market is very price sensitive.
And don’t ask me about commercial loans. Ugh.

Not directly related, but about a year ago, most of the long term rentals on my street converted to STRs (AirBnB). In the last 2 weeks, half of those have converted back to LTRs. This is in midtown. More of a reflection of travel than real estate, but a big change from a year ago.

I think commercial real estate is going to take a bath given how so many workplaces have moved to virtual and throw in the impact on retail.

It’s never enough. But it’s way better to be highly competitive than it is to be striving fir 3rd place in the East. I’m not complaining, but I’m not afraid to say I want more.
You think Alabama fans feel like they’ve gotten enough from those 124 wins?I would bet Nick doesn’t.

Wanting more and not being extremely happy about the state of the program aren’t mutually exclusive. We are pounding on the door at this point. As a fan, that’s all I can ask for.

Considering the state of the sec east the last 10 years (not saying the west was a tougher group during that time)…kinda’ feel UGA shoulda’/woulda’/coulda’ gotten more mileage out of those teams and i get there are seasons, games UGA was supposed to win, then lose…current UGA staff has told the football world, here we are, we have the staff plus the student athletes to match… now we look at the schedule and say W,W,W and so on…hopeful the next ten is just as productive

Auburn wouldn’t … they have a national championship and a near Miss in that same span.

We have the near miss, so we are equal there, but didn’t sell our souls for the natty. Well, at least $180K worth of their soul. (One might say Gus sold his soul for the 2 miracles it took to even get that near miss!)
P.S. The record is 14-5 head-to-head — for the good guys since 2002.

2020 is the first year of the next decade so last decade was 2010 season through 2019 season.

Technically, decades start on the year ending in one. The first year AD wasn’t 0 AD, it was 1 AD.
This is why when Newman scheduled his Millennium New Year’s Eve Party “on the eve of the Millennium,” it was scheduled for Dec 31, 2000.

I stand corrected. 🙂
Guess that’s why the graphic says, “last ten years” rather than last decade.

Technically you’re wrong, but culturally, you’re right. While I wouldn’t mind another year beating the ‘turds to run our record this technical decade to 7-3, no one other than the science community counts decades like that.
For all intents and purposes, we’re into the New Roaring 20’s. My, what a start.

Wow. Tennessee with about 6 wins per year for 10 years?! Down almost 2 games/yr to Miss St. Why do we consider them an SEC East power that will come back? Because Fulmer gave them a moment in the sun 20 years ago? They haven’t won 10 games or 6 conference games since Fulmer left.

You can’t have closer calls than we’ve had. Two times in that decade we’ve been a single bad play away from a national title. (Don’t go pretending Notre Dame would have put up any kind of fight). It would be mighty nice to have those two wins but as far as the “program” goes, we couldn’t be in a better spot, especially considering the beast dwelling in the West this whole time.

I’d like to believe we would’ve crushed Notre Dame, but what are the odds that we come out flat against them? Sadly, we’ll never know.

Low. That team was unstoppable by seasons end. They just lost to the other unstoppable team.

Last 20 years only 3 P5 teams Oklahoma, Ohio State, and LSU have won more games. Over that period we’ve won more than Clemson, Alabama, Florida, Texas, Auburn, USC, FSU, Miami, Penn State, Nebraska, or Notre Dame. Take that Montana.

I feel we deserved one National Championship out of that and one was taken from us. Looking at you 2017! I hate blaming refs but we were robbed on that one. There were too many blatant missed calls in that one. Other than that, I would say I am satisfied.

I too hate to blame refs. I believe in that “don’t put them in a position to make that call” etc.
But in a tough, National Championship setting vs an all time team, the refs juts have to get it right.
Their calls (especially at least 5 obvious ones), all of which cut against one side (so no evening out in this one), can literally make the difference in a game where one play, as in this case, did.

No.
At a minimum we should win the SEC 3/10, we have 1 in 5 trips to ATL.
But: 8-3 vs Auburn, 6-4 vs Florida, 8-2 vs Tech
And: 8-2 vs Tennessee,
But also: 5-5 vs South Carolina (somewhat soothed by crushing SOS’s spirit).
Wins over: Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Clemson, and Penn State; but losses to: Colorado, Central Florida, Boise State, Michigan State, and Texas (not to mention 2 to Vandy and first to Miss. St. since 1974)
0-4 vs Alabama
OT with Georgia Southern
At least one blow-out loss per year: 27 to LSU, 20 at LSU, 23 at Auburn, 31 at Ole Miss(!), 24 to UF and 28 to Bama, 18 to UF, 15 to Mizzou, 28 to S. Carolina, 32 to LSU, 18 at Auburn.
Bowls: Sugar (1-1), Rose (1-0), Liberty (1-1), Gator (1-1), Belk (1-0), Citrus (1-0), Outback (0-1)
At least things are trending up.

The inexplicable losses to SC hurt so much. Rarely were they the “better team”, but they went all in on us. Over and over. And we fell for it.

I’d guess that our record against our 3 biggest rivals (UF, Aub, & GT) is pretty good during that period as well, so I might throw that on the list of achievements. Overall I’m pretty happy with what the Dawgs accomplished in that span, but I still want more. We came frustratingly close to achieving more several times.

There’s been some fun moments but without a national championship and only 1 sec championship it’s kind of hollow. Also if anything it highlights how the past decade was Alabama and everyone else.

I generally would feel better if we had more conference championships, which I always considered to be the benchmark Hall mark goal. The one thing you can truly control. We’ve had some hella long gaps.

Yep, conference championships are my benchmark and Kirby has definitely upgraded us. Still would like to have a few more like you say. And when we do that, the NCs will follow.

Its just another of those stats where the dawgs are right there with teams that have won the national title and stand as the exception proving the rule.
It’s uncanny how often that seems to happen.
