Your Daily Gator is in a dark place.

Swear to Gawd, these people sound so much like we did years ago, it’s almost scary.

  1. Do I even need to break this comment down:

[Talent wise, overmatched] “…This year, that will still be true to a certain extent, but the teams are much closer, and, the Gators are more experienced.
Personally, I’m a bit worried about Kentucky because Stoops is an excellent coach. I have doubts about Orgeron, Pruitt & Kirby’s quality as a coach.”

      This was astute I thought:

“Watched a good breakdown of the game on YouTube. It’s the little things man, the tackling, taking the right angles, playing assignment football. Those things added up and we couldnt (sic) overcome the talent deficiencies”

Wouldn’t a SUPERIOR coach, you know, like Mullen, actually have an advantage in the “little things man, the tackling, taking the right angles, playing assignment football?”

Maybe this year they will get everyone in the same play wristbands (“on the same page” as it were!!), then we’ll see that superior coaching beat that moron recruiter.

I, and Vegas aren’t betting on it though.

For sake of their mental stability, I hope nobody shares this with them:

  3. Handbags, please keep living in your fantasy world that Kirby is just a dunderhead who will eventually run out of time and players. The guy is a business school graduate, has coached with the best coach of the modern era and another guy who is in the next tier, and hates your school’s guts (like your best coach did). He’s no dummy. Blue chips want to play for him. His administration is providing him everything he needs. He’s already been on the doorstep of a national title. He’s the defensive version of Lincoln Riley.

We hope to see you on the banks of the St. Johns River soon.

You hit the nail on the head. The two fan bases are actually very similar. You could go back 5 or 6 years and just read comments from a Georgia site, change the names to current names, and it would sound almost identical to this.

“This is our year”. “They cheat”. “We are not as deep, but we have caught them with our starters”. “They got lucky last year.” “It came down to this play or that play”. Completely ignoring that the other side’s defense pretty much dominated their offense, until Kirby went into a prevent.

Will continue to say the same thing… UF and UT are so focused on catching UGA, that they have taken their eyes off of Kentucky. Watch out for Kentucky.

I personally can’t wait until they reach the point that “It is a HUGE disadvantage of playing in Jacksonville, we should play a home and home”

    • “I personally can’t wait until they are back to the point …” FIFY

The Bull Gators of the 70s and 80s thought this way when we were whipping their @$$3$ every year even when it seemed they had the better team.

Yep, that’s what always bugged me about the “Jax is biased” part of our crowd. Florida thought the same thing in the 70’s and 80’s. It’s just an excuse. The field is still 100 yards long and the crowd is still 50/50.

        • They would always say if we could only get Georgia in the heat and humidity of Florida Field, we would show them … like it’s not hot and humid in north Georgia for most of the season as well.

  7. The “They had Grantham’s number last year” comment is pure gold. They have a very short memory or are just dumb. How many TDs did we have on 3rd down in the 2018 game as well?

One of those idiots actually believes Elam can shut down George Pickens.

Oh man, they literally are us from 20 years ago. Sideshow Dan the Clown is literally their JimmDonnan, and they can’t see it.

I’m tired of people on this blog badmouthing Jim Donnan. The program had fallen to a .500 program under Goff. Donnan brought the team back to respectability. After his first season Donnan’s winning percentage was roughly the same as Richt’s. Donnan laid the foundation for Richt’s success. Richt’s best team, the 2002 squad which won the SEC East and the SEC Championship, was loaded with players Donnan recruited. But then, you routinely badmouth Richt too.

It’s amazing how you’ll find a comparison between MuLLLen and Donnan to be “bad mouthing” when if you take who they are as coaches, basically 8 wins a season guys, it’s an apt comparison. That’s what I meant. I think most everyone else gets that but you. That should tell you it’s not a me issue, it’s a you issue, and you’re the only one who can fix that.

You Sunshine Dawgs are a hoot.

If we only play one game this season, please let it be this one.

Amen to that. If we don’t get to play the turds, we will hear for the next 50 years “If they had not cancelled the season we were going to kick your asses, win the SEC and the NC”. Like UCF they will award themselves a NC. They will probably hang a 2020 National Championship banner to commemorate “what would have been”.
