“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23
It is great! Nearly as good as our 3 year run in 1980-1982 when our conference record was 18-0. We then won 5 in a row in 1983. 23 straight SEC wins and a 4 year SEC record of 23-1. Good times.

According to Floriduh fans on twitter yesterday, Kirby “hasn’t done anything,” and we “fired Mark Richt for the same things.”
So. Just so y’all know. That’s what the ‘turds think. 😂🤣😂

Back when we only played 6 SEC games per year, total.

The Senator’s post used an 18 game over 3 years analysis and my reply used an 18 game analysis over 3 years.

No, I know. It’s just funny. So many people complain that in a 14-team SEC, we “only” play 8 SEC games per year, when in a 10-team SEC we played 6 games per year total.
Meaning in a 7-team division, we play the same number of SEC games as we did when we were a 10-team league.
So all those writers bitching about students not getting to play TAMU at least once in a 4-year period are all just really full of crap. We went years and years without playing Tennessee over the SEC’s first 60 years of existence, and they’re our closest SEC neighbor.

I stand corrected. Still doesn’t really change my point.

If they are that close….time to build a fence….whip them so bad, they don’t want a return match…..

The problem is, where to put the fence? Columbus is basically East Auburn. Do we cut off river access to spite the Tiglesmen? 😂

I remember when we played just 5 SEC games a year with a 10 game schedule. Definitely playing 8 conference games in a 12 game schedule is harder.
We went years without playing LSU back in the day, too. When Tech was in the SEC it never played in Mississippi, IIRC and virtually never LSU

Man, only FIVE GAMES???
Wow.

Yeah, but the handbags have gotten their ass beaten less badly each season, so there’s that.
Man, if we only play one game this season, let it be Florida. I really want to stomp those guys this year.

There is a psychological advantage created by winning 4 in a row

You’re right. There is an entire class that passes through and out into the real world without ever experiencing a victory over the Dawgs. That makes me very, very happy.

Five in a means that no player in the program was ever on a team that beat us. No 5th year seniors with a memory of leaving TIAA field happy

Is it gappin’ or lappin’ the east that turns into a yearly blood letting….where UGA spanks the east bad enough (year in, year out) to the point where they have a pulse and nothing else….is that fun, well hell yes it is…..
