Every time I think I’m over Georgia getting screwed by the conference with regard to its schedule with Auburn, I see something like this and get all riled up again.
That… ain’t right. Although it does ease the irritation somewhat to remember that Georgia went 7-2 in the nine of those games played.
Seeing it all laid out like that is frustrating, and shame on McGarity for caving on the back-to-back games on the Plains in ’12 and ’13. (Who knows how differently that 2013 game might have gone if it’d been played in Athens?) At the end of the day, though, as long as the Barners only come up with 2 or 3 series wins per decade, I’ll sleep OK at night.

Yeah but now we get to play Mizzou every year. Totally worth it.

I hate Auburn. McGarity needs to work on his dark side a bit.

I do. I’ve got beaucoup relatives and friends who have matriculated through the pastures of Auburn and I remind them all the time but only because they don’t want to hear about it

And btw, even though they’ll never admit it w/ Gus having his usual pre-season Heisman contender QB each year, they’re aggravated that we were able to trade Mark for Kirby rather than them trading Gus and his BMW i8 for Kirby

Without the swap, UGA would have 3 home games in Sanford this year….

I hate the deal too, but this is kind of a silly rant. Starting with ‘12 we knew the stat was 6 to 4 home games going forward. No one could predict what’s happening this year and honestly, the Decade could end 6 to 3 if season gets cancelled before or soon after starting. In that event, we should really demand a reset with Auburn and get both ‘21 and ‘22 at home to right the wrong. Won’t happen, of course, but we can dream.
