As if the 2020 college football season isn’t already shambolic enough…

Thanksgiving weekend?  I can’t wait to hear Bill Hancock explain how the selection committee feels about 3-0 Ohio State’s chances to make the semifinals.

And, no, the ACC, Big 12 and SEC ain’t movin’ to Thanksgiving weekend.

Do they make a down jacket thick enough for a January game in Madison Wisconsin?

It was a total gun jump to cancel the season. I think they assumed all would follow or they would look virtuous. That hasn’t really worked out.

College football 2020 starts tonight. If it appears in a few weeks the SEC had it right. Expect the B10 to announce something something blah blah for the benefit of our student athletes. We have decided to restart the season and begin our schedule the second Saturday of November. This flies under the coverage of the election. The announcement will include a plan for their inclusion in a delayed CFP. That of course would cause the SEC and ACC’s best teams to sit around and do nothing going stale. All while waiting for TOSU to be crowned and pronounced fit for the delayed at their benefit CFP. Herbie is probably already working on his “ It’s only fair to include everyone you can’t blame the B10 for trying to protect the kids speech “. Too much money laying there for Disney and the B10. If those guys are good at anything it’s grabbing cash.

Wait, so in theory, the virus should be ramping up for the indoor winter months… This makes ‘0’ sense…

Sounds like they’re getting a little nervous that the other three conferences will actually be playing this fall?

The big whatever saw where corch nominated FU as the #1 team associated with that conference and thought he would surely do the same with tosu for their big whatever conference…corch responded with “after i eat me some turkey delight”…

I went to Walter Payton’s last regular season home game on Dec 21, 1987. It was 10 degrees when the game started and I don’t know how cold when it ended (in a loss to the Seahawks). We had a Weber in the parking lot and did beers and brats. Da Berz.

They should move opening day up to November 4 to get three more games in.

Kevin Warren and the Big Ten presidents are the dumbest mf’ers in sports.

When you look around and see how truly stupid so many athletes, coaches, administrators, general managers, owners, presidents, Mark Emmert, the NCAA, commentators, writers, and hot takers who work in and around sports are, and you stand out from THAT crowd?

Just give those 15 men and women a big old scarlet “S” to wear around their necks, because they are some kind of stupid.

Holy shit, guys… I don’t know if y’all are big movie buffs or just casual movie watchers, but I’m sure most everyone here has seen the Jackie Robinson biopic “42” or many of the Marvel movies, so it would probably come as a shock to y’all to find out, as it did for me, that Chadwick Boseman, who was only 43, died today of colon cancer.

He was amazing bringing Jackie Robinson to life and was the perfect embodiment of a kingly superhero in Black Panther in the last two Avengers movies.

He was a fantastic, talented actor, and close enough to me in age that even though I’m not supposed to get checked for colon cancer yet, knowing he found out he ha Stage III when he was 39, it makes me realize there’s no reason not to get checked. It’s the one cancer that’s almost impossible to beat if it’s found too late, as it was for him.

Corch, a colorectal surgeon friend of mine told me he is seeing more and more colon CA in people in their 30’s and 40’s. He recommends a colonoscopy at 40 rather than 50. Insurance won’t pay for it until age 50 unless you have other issues like “blood in your stools”. Wink wink. I’m not giving medical advice, but you might want to see some blood in your stools.

That is some great “nondvice” to give, gurkhadawg. I may just have to tell my GP about it during my next scheduled check-up.
