While the disappointment of hearing that Tennessee hung on to beat Kentucky in 4 OTs to win the East will always stick with me from that night, it’s tempered by the memory of a drunk Tech student jumping around after the game taunting me about how the Jacket defense shut down Knowshon Moreno.

I was just about to post that I know the game has evolved past that, but there’s a part of me that misses seeing a pulling guard in tandem with a fullback opening up holes for the RB.

It’s one thing to take quiet solace in a “moral victory” in a losing effort. Worse than that is to actually brag to the opposition about said moral victory in a losing effort. But to brag about the moral victory to the opposition that isn’t even a moral victory? That’s stupid, cubed.
