How deep is this year’s Georgia team? Look at Jake Rowe’s list of the outlook for each member of the 2020 signing class and tell me how many of them are likely to be significant contributors this season.
I’ve got Jalen Carter, a couple of the wide outs (like it or not, there are opportunities there), Washington… and that’s about it.
Looking forward to seeing Big 0

Yeah, don’t see much room for the 2020 class in 2020, outside of those you mentioned. There’s potential for Tate Ratledge or Broderick Jones working into some PT, when the schedule eases in November/December.

Given that the redshirt rules have been eliminated this year, I think we’re going to see a lot of guys get playing time, but those who crack the true 2 deep will be limited. Throw in the limits on the traveling squad, and we’ll find out really quickly who the staff thinks will contribute.

Agree completely. Plus, this isn’t a normal year – we may see guys that have to be held out for positive tests that will create additional opportunities for freshman. The true deep won’t have many (if any) freshmen listed, but I believe they will play and they may play more than we would like.

Exactly why quality depth seems to be being overlooked this year.

I’m not familiar — what are the changes to the redshirt rule? Does that mean redshirting includes any playtime at all (like before the rules were changed) or that anyone can redshirt no matter how much they play?

Every player this year can return next year in the same class they were in for 2020 regardless of how many games they participate in.

Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Milton have a good year….SEC ready imo.

Just gonna dream about Washington catching a hot pass and then dump trucking a CB for a 1st down.

I think we’ll see some corners make business decisions if 0 comes rumbling into their area of the field.
