Today, in talk is cheap

Man, if there was a poll for a program running its mouth, Central Florida would be the national champs three years running.

Last week?  You mean the week you beat **checks notes** Georgia Tech?  That week?

Sure, you can say that . . .

  2. UCF is like the wrestler who plays the asshole heel every week. Gets us riled up. Definitely a marketing strategy.

  3. They are better than the dumpster fire in Tallahassee. Florida is a different animal, and Miami looks competent with D’Eriq King at QB. I would suspect UCF would be double-digit dogs against either of those schools.

You can get away with running your mouth as long as you have their schedule. They are better than FSU and USF they have that going for them.

I found myself almost pulling for Tech because of the inevitable trash talk from UCF. Lots of HUNH in the second half to pile on points and set up for comparative score debates. Doubt Lawrence sees the second half against those kids.

Gibbs for Tech is a player.

Those of us up here in Dalton saw Gibbs coming. No idea why Kirby dragged his feet so long in offering him. Word from Dalton High School was that Gibbs was just waiting on that UGA offer to flip his commitment, but it came so late in the game that he was offended and had already sold himself on Tech. He’s a player for sure.

    • I noticed the ACC let the HUNH go really fast, which would never happen for us, but it was immediate snaps.

Things I’ve learned from two weeks of hate watching tech:

It’s almost as much fun as watching Georgia
    They’re getting better
    QB is good
    Gibbs is good
Gonna be up and down all year, but trending up

On UCF, I’d put them a close 3rd in Florida right now:
    1. Gators
    2. Canes
    3. Knights
    4. Noles

It’s emotionally conflicting that I can so enjoy a GT beat-down while simultaneously developing a growing disgust towards the program that is furnished that clubbing.
UCF is annoying and the officiating was criminal.
    I still blame Auburn.

it’s easy to talk when you know that you’ll never be called to back it up.

    You called it precisely, Senator.

UCF vs GT. Makes you wish for the old days when ties were still allowed. This is a game where you don’t want either one of them to win.
