Honestly, just when you think Rodrigo Blankenship couldn’t say or do anything more to burnish his name at UGA, he up and does this:

It’s almost as if calling him a DGD is an understatement.

Explains why Ken might’ve been a little pissed if there was some sort of grey shirt deal that didn’t look like it was coming to fruition….

  3. Kicker U has had some great ones, but for the total package, it’s hard to beat Hot Rod. I remember some commenters here who wanted Kirby to kick Rod off the team for the campaign his father waged in the media. Rod kept his head down and worked for the scholarship (I still think Kirby should have put him on scholarship after the 2016 season).

While it’s hard to put a specialist on the “Mount Rushmore” of your program, Mr. Blankenship has done everything he can to be universally loved by the fan base. I can’t wait for him to come back to Athens to lead the crowd in calling on the Dawgs sometime soon.

I love this kid. Amazing. I bought a Greene jersey and a Pollack jersey back when I was a relative kid (early-20’s) and never wear them because I think it’s silly when an adult man wears a jersey, but I really want to buy a #98 and have his name put on it.

DGD doesn’t even cover what he means for this program.

I made cocktails for the Rose Bowl and called them “Hot Rods” as a tribute to this kid.
Tito’s, unfiltered apple cider, cinnamon whisky, with a splash of dry hard cider for effervescence.
Now that it’s turning cool I may have to do those again…

UGAAA should reimburse him for the time he wasn’t on scholly…

My daughter is a sophomore at UGA. One of her journalism classes is online via zoom. She face timed me yesterday with her laptop screen in the background. She asked me if I recognized anyone in the matrix. Hot Rod was in the center of it.
