PFF grades UGA’s opener

It ain’t pretty.

That’s how you come to be an almost four-touchdown favorite in a road conference game.

The individual matchups are, if anything, even worse.  Arkansas has one clear advantage with Rakeem Boyd.  What’s the over/under on the number of touches he gets tomorrow?

The Hogs’ defensive backfield looks solid, so it will be interesting to see if they present a test for Georgia’s remade passing attack.

What do y’all see there?

I predict Pain for the Pit Boss. Im sure at some point Kirby attempts to help him by calling off his Dawgs. He wont want them to get the big head with Aubie coming to town next week.

Would you trade White for Boyd? Our backs for theirs?

The season openers that I have seen this season have been messy, poorly played games. Of course this is due to the multitude of adjustments and protocols universities have deal with due to the virus, in addition to everyone missing out on Spring ball. For this reason I expect Georgia to look less than stellar. I do next see the Dawgs covering the spread, and if they score north of 30 it will be a miracle. Lest we forget, we still have no idea what Monken will do with this offense, nor what we will get from our QB.

    • So if we score 31 its a miracle? I agree somethings could be messy, but I dont think 31 against the worst team in the SEC is a stretch.

Also, the SEC has had several weeks more of practice than the openers. Thats a big difference given the situation.

The 2019 offense is far to fresh in my memory to have high hopes. Also, we replacing 3 out of 5 starters on the OL. We are inexperienced at QB, WR, RB, TE, K. Oh, and we are installing a new offense with a new OC. I find it hard to believe that the 2020 offense will be clicking on all cylinders early in the season. I feel more confident that our offense will cost is a couple of games in the first 4 weeks.

Where did their Long Snapper rank last year compared to ours? I hear he’s a damn beast.

Anyone betting on CFB this year truly has a gambling problem.
