If utk can lose to Georgia State and BYU at home last year, they can certainly lose to Mizzou at home this year. That’s my ‘mild’ upset of the week.
Go cocks I reckon.

Agents Muschump and Bobo are off to a great start! Cannon shot fired in Turdsville.
Time for me to get on brunch. We got cool air and I really did some sleep
Anybody remember Omari Hardwick playing football at Georgia? I’ve never heard of him.
SC just ran all over them. Damn
Football is more crispier today. I hope that goes for us also.
13 penalties in the first quarter of the Texas-TCU game.
I’m not watching that game. Is this you just trying to be contrary to be contrary? Im flipping back-and-forth a couple of games that look better than last week. I haven’t looked at texas
Yeah, Texas-TCU has been a disaster so far.
Just saw Zack Evans run for TCU. Forgot he wound up there.
If USCe could catch a forward pass they might be up seven. Grantham not blitzing on 3rd down he must be desperate to find some playmakers. FU has problems on defense. I love when the camera goes to Mullen after the defense gets gashed. The little things can be so enjoyable.
Trask does really well when his receivers can out-athlete the defensive players. He’s also been inches away from a few sacks or busted plays. Makes me wonder how he’ll do against a stouter defense.

SCar could be in their game at the half, but I swear their WR’s couldn’t catch covid in a room with the president.
I was up all night smoking Boston butts and drinking PBR, so I’m sticking to the low hanging fruit today.
I have started to smoke the day before I want to eat it. I let it smoke all day, throw it in the fridge, pull it the next afternoon.
That was my plan, but for some reason the temp’s stalled like crazy. It’s all good now though…enough for the wife and me for tonight plus about 15 more pounds to bag up and freeze.
a pound or so in a freezer bag?
Yeah, that’s enough for dinner for 2 plus one lunch. My wife is hall of fame food/meal prep level, so I just play into her plans. If she started putting her weekly meal plans on the internet 15 years ago when we got married, she’d be one of those millionaire food bloggers. Unfortunately…ha.
I just grabbed a BBQ sandwich from the butt I smoked last week, damn good stuff.
I guess there’s at least a little honesty there.
“It is what it is…”
Got bean stew going in the crackpot now. Be ready for kickoff
What is the deal with Joey Galloway of ESPN. Why is he always dissing the Dawgs? I got it when Mark Mayday or others that have history with UGA allow personal biases that control their thoughts. That’s normal I hope Kirby expands that list.
Joey did provide a scoop stating as fact JT Daniels was the starting QB tonight.
I dont know that guy but there a plenty of things to be concerned about with our team. They just looked off last week and I felt that the physicality was weaker than we are used to seeing.
Gamecocks are now fried chicken. And Florida has looked reasonable.
UF run D seemed a little susceptible, but with the score getting out of hand, I guess it won’t be tested much more today.
UF defense all around susceptible; however SC receivers can’t catch. Makes them look better.
Anybody use an electric smoker? I have zero desire to get up at 4am making fire and all that.
Lol… that’s what I tell people about hunting, so I guess that’s my trade off. I prefer my old fashioned smoker that’s needed replacing for years now, but I have a few friends that love their electric and/or pellet smokers.
Can’t beat the old fashioned offset for doing a bunch of butts.
For everything else I’ll take a pellet smoker. I just pulled a rack of St. Louis style ribs for me, a rack of baby backs for Mrs. Cowdog, and some (believe it or not) barbecue navy beans done in an Instapot that are amazing. Of course using home cured n’ smoked pork belly in ’em doesn’t hurt. We’ve enjoyed the bluebird day and are settling in to watch the Dawgs.
I took MY dog for a windows down ride in the farm truck this morning, ’cause , you know, I like driving my truck…..
I haven’t used electric, but pellet smokers pretty much do the same. I use a Kamado Joe, and I am super happy with it after using an offset stick burner for several years. Building and maintaining the fire was a pain, especially on game days. Kamado is set it and forget it, just with charcoal.
Wish i could afford one. Pretty nice
To answer your original question chuckdawg: I went through 4 of them in about 8 years. You can turn out some fantastic food on them. Cool thing about them is you can smoke at a low and constant temperature. I make my own andouille and I love to catch fresh fish then brine it and smoke it, they work great for that. (Catch a couple of nice Jacks? Head them, split them, brine them, then smoke ’em. You won’t throw another back)
You can do killer butts on them too, but the cleanup is a cast iron bitch no matter how much you try cover the cooking space with foil. They are super sensitive to moisture so they need to be kept under cover and if you use them a lot they only last a couple of years.
Get a simple, inexpensive one. For smoking on a budget they are great.
Brilliant. Ty. This is great stuff! Looks like its the crockpot for a bit!
I refrained, but was going to say “they work fine until they dont, then you have a bunch of meat and nothing to do with it”
Luckily I never had one quit mid use. No kidding, you have to clean them as soon as they cool and if you leave them outside overnight the dew will FUBAR the elements. Cooking something like fatty like a butt or whole chickens where you have to render the fat to make it tender will make a mess in it.
They’re a good way to learn about time and temp though, and I’m standing by my smoked fish recommendation. I used to cast net mullet and smoke them, great stuff. Any oily fish like Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Jack, is really good done that way.
Alright. Now I’m on TCU UT. Go frogs or something
FU offense is legit passing the ball still no run game to worry about. You need to be able to catch passes something Cocky can’t seem to do today to win games. I was surprised to hear going into day they were 5-5 in the last ten games against each other.
Tcu handing out Christmas presents
These B12 officials for Texas-TCU make SEC refs look competent. The worst I’ve seen in a while.
A competent D should really slow down florida. A competent O should be able to score.
If the gamecocks hadn’t inexplicably abandoned the run for a few drives late second quarter, this would’ve been a game. Run the damn ball, bobo.
Bama doesn’t care for atm. Nor anybody else
"What an incredible turnout. It felt like a home game when you looked up in the stands and saw all the red. I expected it to be that way but maybe not as much as it was." -- Kirby Smart, Dawgs247.com, 11/27/21
