“Anybody can sue anybody for anything.”

Case in point:

Adam Sasser, a former Georgia baseball player who was kicked off the team for using racial epithets at a Georgia football game in 2018, has filed a federal lawsuit against UGA, the state board of regents and several other parties.

Identified only as “John Doe” in court documents, Sasser alleges violations of his constitutional rights for free speech under the first and 14th amendments as well as breach of contract. He seeks undisclosed “compensatory and punitive damages” for loss of income and employment opportunities as a result of UGA’s actions.

I wonder if they’ll make Justin Fields testify.

You always know you’re dealing with a heavy hitting lawyer when they use a gmail account and their apartment address in their federal filings.

Lionel Hutz must have passed on this one….

Senator, I don’t know if Van Halen was your particular cup of tea, but if you liked them or loved them (as I do), could you do a musical post tomorrow honoring rock guitar god and virtuoso Eddie Van Halen? I’m crushed by today’s news. I’m gonna go drink scotch and listen to Eruption over and over again.

“Actually, your honor, my use of the n-word in public was a good thing!”

That’s a bold strategy, Adam. I’m not sure that’s going to help you with your image rehab and getting your reputation or baseball career back, but go for it. Let us know how it goes. I hope you’ve saved a little to cover UGA’s attorney fees on this one, because I think you may end up being asked to pay them.

I was just wondering, how are things over at Stingtalk these days? Still droning on (SWIDT?) about how we’re ducking them? Dammit we were going to crush them again… there has to be a way…
