Reversal of fortunes

Just think, to go from an absurd demand that Florida pack the Swamp with 90000 people to this:

You hate to see it.

    That’s a shame.

That could happen to us in a heartbeat so not gonna gloat……

Just kidding FTMF, and hope this further exacerbates their lack of depth!!! Heres hoping that stetson bennett lights up that grantham defense like a Christmas tree and Trask is running for his life all day.

Rooting for you Dan, as long as you and Todd stay in gainesville we’re going to do just fine in jacksonville. Make sure to give Todd a raise and extension, he’s the best DC in america! How else would he get all those off-season nfl interviews!

I’m still not sure how fans in the stands give the Rona to players on the field. Not sure how the two are connected…

I’ll also say a cancelled season for UF at this point is in Mullen’s best interest.

I’m sure their players will follow strict protocols on their own in all the free time they suddenly have during the week

  6. I’m now worried that the season is in serious jeopardy. Everyone seemed to do a decent job before the season and at the start but now that everyone is practicing together and playing actual games, we’re seeing more postponements and cancellations. It’s the same from high school to the NFL, too.

That’s a bit of a ridiculous catastrophizing. How many games have been played without incident? Almost all of them? How many players, coaches, or support staff have been HOSPITALIZED after being infected? Zero?

I know some of y’all are prone to overreaction, but this entire year has absolutely been rife with it. Settle down, Beavis. It’s gonna be okay.

  7. So what’s the plan if an SEC program has to cancel a game or two and can’t make it up? What if, say, Florida decides to cancel their season? Is the SEC’s policy everyone finishes or no one does?

I don’t think that’s going to be an issue. Worst case scenario for Florida is they play their missed regular season game the week of the sec championship game because you know that week will be available for them!

In the extremely unlikely event that happens, given how in your example Florida will now have immunity, then the SEC office has plans for that just like they had plans for all other contengiences, which is why they never overreacted unlike some other conferences.

I think the plan is that some teams may not get all 10 games in. I believe they mentioned that when they released the schedule. Ten games with a bye week to try to accommodate postponements. They haven’t released how they will handle the missed game(s) when it comes to division standings, though.

The big one I want to see from the NCAA is how do they handle scholarship limits going forward if everyone this year gets a free pass on eligibility?

I’ve been waiting for Mullen to prove without a doubt how dumb he really is – he has finally hit it out of the park.

Coach COVID be you ignore the doubters. Time to double down get yourself and Grantham those lifetime contracts. With your recruiting skills, mastery of the transfer portal along with your list of conference titles. Or the number of times you’ve been to SEC championship game without a spectator ticket in all your years as head coach. That proves your due and beyond doubt the right man to reset FU football back to its pre 1990 glory days. 4 and 5 star recruits are like masks you don’t need them.
