And Dabo deployed a true freshman QB in his wide open, play to win offense, let him throw 41 times, and won the game.
That’s a coach who wins rings.
Kirby is Les Miles. Kirby never learns.

I still think Kirby can get us there but the contrast between the two offenses is stark. They play a true freshman, let him air it out and they win a close one. We go turtle with our 4th year player and grind out a win. Still not convinced that approach is going to win next week.

Miles??….. 1MNC, 2 SEC titles and 3 Western Division titles. 34 and 6 while he was at LSU.
If I were trying to point out Kirby’s shortcomings, think I would pick someone else to compare him to.
Bet there are a bunch of LSU folks that probably wish he was still there after last night.

Les Miles refused to adapt to the reality of modern CFB. He’s the last play not to lose coach to win a national title, and almost certainly the last.
But sure Greg, continue to ignore the context. It’s what people like you do best.

And you keep praising mediocrity and thinking this is why we hired Kirby Smart. Again, we get it, Greg. You’re a Sunshine Dawg.

Yep, the standard reply of the Sunshine Dawg:
If you’re not happy with mediocrity or that our coach refuses to adapt and change to the realities of modern college football, then you need to go root for a new team, dammit!
LOL. Here’s one for you:

Clemson like Bama and tOSU all have something UGA does not have beyond just QB play. We do not have Elite WRs running all over the field.
We have a couple of decent WRs and one knuckle head with great talent who can’t get his act together. Not a chance Matt Landers ever get on the field with those other teams with meaningful playing time.
Elite wide receivers make average QB play look great. Why we can’t have those WRs I speak of is beyond me. Those other schools stack up WRs like we do lineman. That needs to be fixed or we won’t ever have a great passing attack.

I call b.s. I don’t buy that. All those teams you mention take 4 and 5-star receivers they recruit, immediately insert them into their offense, and turn them into superstars as freshman. We just signed one of the best WR classes EVER. Only Bama’s 2017 class is better.
We have two 5-stars and one 4-star WR in our freshman class. So why can’t we do what Bama, Clemson, and tOSU do and insert them into our offense and make them instant superstars as those teams would do?
The blame has to fall on Kirby Smart. Dabo, Saban, and Day don’t have this problem.

That’s your opinion not a fact. Sorry dude you are not always correct or all knowing as you love to think. You are not the oracle of college football nor is your opinion worth more that anyone else’s here. So feel free to shout out BS at me all you want.

What was an opinion and not factual?
That we just signed one of the best WR classes ever? FACT.
That Bama, Clemson, and tOSU routinely take 4 and 5-star freshman wide receivers, insert them into their offenses, and turn them into superstars? FACT.
So… don’t see any opinions here, only facts.

Recruiting ranking are great to start with. Even if Jamie Newman was here today we just don’t have the on the field game day talent at WR those elite teams have. Those teams throw up 50/50 balls as designed plays because they have elite talent. All we have is 4 & 5 stars not a single one is elite.
I’ll keep saying this until the season ends. Kirby never planned on SBIV starting.
The lose of Newman ended our 2020 NC shot. I believe Kirby thought he had his stud QB capable of winning a scoring shootout.
Kirby Smart is NOT Les Miles.

I don’t think you understand what it means to be a 5-star recruit. There’s only about 30 of them every year out of thousands of high school recruits. They literally ARE elite football players. We got 2 of them at WR in this last class.
You’re not addressing anything I really said, and filling in your own opinions as explanations when I’ve provided facts. Bama, Clemson, and tOSU routinely put their elite freshman athletes into their offenses and they find immediate success. Georgia under Kirby Smart, outside of Pickens last season, doesn’t seem to do this ever.
So why is that? What is it about those teams and their play to win coaches that is different from our team and our play not to lose coach? What could possibly be the difference? 🤔

Clearly you don’t understand recruiting stars mean potential not production.
I can’t get you to understand SBIV was not Kirby’s planned QB. If he was I might agree with your incorrect statement Kirby Smart is Les Miles.

Clemson just put in a true freshman QB into their play to win offense, let him throw 41 times, and he bailed out a poor defensive performance to secure a win for the Tigers.
Why hasn’t Carson Beck been prepared to do similar here?
Why hasn’t JT Daniels?
At some point, is ANYTHING Kirby’s fault for y’all?

Yeah, I think you made the point with your reply. Chill out dude. College ball is unpredictable as hell, and, if you hate Kirby that much, you might want to find another home. We have problems, but we also have a team that fights like hell. If you want, then just “fuck you”, otherwise, lets just say, see what happens.

Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson a school to be named by the committee. Lather and repeat. We are not a threat to Bama and with our defense decimated we are not much of a threat to the Gayturds. UK was a pyrrhic victory and could spell 7-3 for Kirby. I would jump out my Florida home window but it’s only one story. Closet game ever to VD, always depended on Erk’s D to keep it close and in a lot of cases seal the deal.

I don’t wish injury or illness on many players or opposing teams. But it is a bit karmic that CU gets bit with the Chicom bug seeing as their mid level competition doesn’t routinely result in injuries to their starters as happens to those in the SEC.
