This strikes me as a good question.

You know what would make for a good troll?  CBS re-running classic games from their archives every Saturday at 3:30PM during next season.  I’d bet they’d stand a 50/50 chance of being better than the games ESPN shows in that same time slot.

I would think it would be well over 50%. Every game they show would be a classic but how many live games are actually classics. Now of course if they want viewers they would be better off showing ncis reruns.

Will ESPN have enough on-air talent and ccrews to broadcast 65 +/- games on Saturday?

At the very least, the SEC should get a deal like the NFL where ESPN agrees to dispense with the bottom line during SEC games. I’d like that screen real estate back for what I can for, thanks.

Gary Danielson talking ad nauseum, sec promos ad nauseum, Dr. Pepper Fanville commercials ad nauseum. Sooo many memories….

    I’ll miss that theme song.

  7. I thought the CBS contract wasn’t up until 2023. Did ESPN fully buy out the contract through 2023?

Wow. I’d hate for all those people who think Gary Danielson hates their team to not get a chance to complain.

Really curious if they take a chance on eSports. Massive followings, low cost to entry, and ability to hold events regardless of pandemic.
