For the life of me, I can’t figure out why an ugly home win over a weak conference opponent has given me such pleasure.

    First of all he played lights out. We don’t see QB’s carry teams around here very often and when we do, it’s fun.

    Plus State did play a hell of a game.

    The game this week will tell the tale. If JT can torch their secondary and Zeus & Co. take advantage of only a 3 man rush look out SEC! As my country friend said: “Look out, lightnin’ done struck the shithouse.”

    Not getting the ball to Pickens any way you can is simply malpractice. Rather than having him block and pull double coverage we should be using motion and “picks” to get him open. He does more with the ball after the catch than anyone else we’ve got.

      Exactly. I enjoyed that more than pretty much any game last season, except for the whipping we put on Florida. It’s the first time we’ve shown a passing attack in several years. If we combine that with our normal running game, I’m liable to soil myself.

    Late to the party but it sure looks like he doesn’t trust that knee still. Some of those throws necessitated a back foot because of pressure but I’d really like to see what he does with that live arm when he can step through his throwing motion.
