It’s simple, really.
As long as I blog, this will never get old.
Have a great day, peeps!

Happy Thanksgiving from Central Texas!
I”m an old guy. Saw this the first time it aired. To this day, it is the funniest Thanksgiving episode of a comedy that I’ve ever seen. To those that read it; I’m not sure you will see the humor quite as much, but for those who were invested into the show and characters…. I laugh pretty much with tears in my eyes, with the last line in the show being “as God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly”… 🙂

Happy Turkey Day all! Go Dawgs!
Actually turkeys CAN fly. Altho prolly not if you drop them from an airplane.

Wild turkeys can. Not sure farm turkeys can even walk much.
Soon as I woke up today, I reminded my better half that I was excited to see this post again. Thank you. It always brings a chuckle.
Happy Thanksgiving all!
Exactly – I woke up ready to see this post!
Happy Thanksgiving GTP!
Still after 40 years, it’s the hardest I’ve ever seen my dad laugh. Love it!

1973, in Stuttgart, W. Germany. Not married; living in barracks and in a foreign country. On any given day mess hall food is not great as I am sure some of you will attest, but this Thanksgiving they did it up right. White tablecloths on every table, full fledged dinner with all the fixings, and the battalion commander carving the bird for each soldier. It made being away from home a whole lot easier. This Thanksgiving give thanks and prayers for the young men and women deployed and keeping the fighting out of our country.

If you were in Stuttgart area in 1973 and had a battalion commander, were you at Panzer Kaserne? I was at HQEUCOM and the food was fine there too.
Flak Kaserne in Ludwigsburg.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; that’s the funniest thirty minutes of television I have ever seen. Happy Thanksgiving everybody.
Happy Turkeys-Can’t-Fly Day, GTP.
Now it’s officially Thanksgiving! Thank you Senator for allowing us to crash here. Happy Thanksgiving to all you Dawg fans!
A friend of mine was radio station executive manager and had Les in to do a promotion. I was able to meet him. Great guy and in character all the way including the bandaid on his finger.
