Worth every penny

Seriously, if you’re a Georgia fan, isn’t Malzahn exactly who you want coaching Auburn?  I mean, he’s a guy who’s trouble for Saban, but rarely beats the Dawgs.  That’s a formula that works for me.

Not sure if it’s accurate, but I heard that Gus is 0-16 against Bama, LSU & UGA in away games.

I actually wonder about the guys acumen. Since he got to Auburn he has ran an offense that has to have a studd at running back. No studd – it doesn’t function.

He gets the 5star from Georgia, who turns out to be a true 5star; but is now too stubborn to go back to what works. That’s cool with me…

    Yep… Keep him around…

By the way, their recruiting class this year is nowhere close to where they have been in the past. I’m sure they will rally, but right now they are at something like #38 and have 0 kids from the state of Georgia committed

His biggest issue is at qb. He can’t recruit one. His best have been transfers. And if they aren’t a threat to run the offense isn’t as effective. If he’s got a pass only qb, he has to have a big time stud rb.

Tank may be that guy but Nix is a disaster right now.

If they both get better, Auburn may do something in 2021.

Wonder if ol’ Gus is having second thoughts about trying to keep Willis around and letting him develop. Develop is the key word though, it may be a case where Freeze can and Gus can’t.

It’s nice to have something put a big smile on your face and warm you heart first thing on a cold morning.

His offense seems to really need an excellent dual threat guy (Cam, Nick) to really function at a high level.

Auburn plays Bama tough. Without actually tasking time to look it up I seem to recall that Auburn is 10-11 against the Tide the last 21 years.

I’d love to see Gus stay on the Plains. I was a little concerned about the game this year considering it was Game 2 and Auburn had allegedly changed up the offense with a new coordinator and Georgia was sorting through our own problems. Nope, Kirby and Co. were still ready for everything the Tigers tried to do offensively and all Auburn did on offense was send me to bed that night thinking that Stetson Bennett was going to be more than enough to get us back to Atlanta.

Those numbers are so disparate that it’s unreal. It’s not as if Auburn was a dominant team during that stretch and an emotional rivalry will simply not account for such disparity. A reasonable person could be led to believe that somebody was showing favoritism to one or both teams during that time. But we all know assumptions based on statistical anomalies are simply signs of conspiracy theorists.
SEC HQ needs to be moved from that shitty state.

This ‘free’ year that ‘doesn’t count’ has been a disaster for every single coach who started it with a ‘warm/lukewarm’ seat.

No doubt about it. Gus is good for Kirby.
