Your 12.5.20 game day post

No Georgia, but plenty of other football to be played.

Will today mark Tennessee’s sixth straight double-digit loss?  How will Bo Pelini defend Alabama’s passing attack?  (Not well, methinks.)

Your answers, as well as any other observations you have have, are welcomed in the comments.

        Its on to Charlotte!

Although I am slightly curious regarding our bowl landing place.

I’d like to beat down whoever that #5 team is that bitches that they should have been in the playoffs. Preferably in Miami.

My Christmas wish from college football would be eviscerating GT at the Hard Rock stadium Orange Bowl game. Before I get told the endless reasons it won’t/could never happen it’s NOT a serious recommendation. I know there is zero chance of That game happening it’s still enjoyable to think of. It is remotely possible to schedule a rivalry bowl game somewhere else. If ADGM wants to make long time fans happy he should be demanding daily this game happens. If for no other reason than to listen to the Insects excuses not to play us. The Senator was correct no better way to end this train wreck season than crushing GT.

          • Given that the Vandy game is likely not happening in 2 weeks, I would suggest we start a movement to play Fech on the 19th in Athens, the Joke, Piedmont Park or the median on 316. If Josh Brooks can make it happen, I’ll support him for AD.

North Carolina played western Carolina so that no ooc games argument is gone. Tell vandy and fech to combine rosters for the day and come to Athens. Problem solved.

Mostly I watch these games not because I am fans of certain not-UGA teams, but because I want to see certain teams lose.
My wish list for losing today is, Florida, Florida, Florida and Auburn..
I don’t care for Tennessee, but my disdain for FU is on fire.
You have to be careful what you wish for.
I don’t want Alabama to lose ONLY because I think Florida would have a good shot against the Aggies if they were in the SECC.
Don’t want anOSU to lose because I don’t want FU getting into the playoffs thru the backdoor in any possible scenario. (ie a close loss to ‘Bama).
Let Auburn lose. That’s the only realistic wish I have for today. But I predict a close game.

Here’s a question. If UF somehow loses to UT today, does the SEC make up the LSU game?

Agreed that should be fun to watch. Normally I don’t want next weeks opponent to lose their game before we play them. Today I’m rooting for the Pit Boss to win and lay claim to SEC coach of the year. YES SIR that would be nice.

    Okay, two things.

I can’t recall ever seeing a commercial for DisneyWorld.
The GE commercial. It’s well produced, but, in the medical imaging world (XRay, MRI, Vascular) they are referred to as “Good Enough”. It’s all outsourced to China and the business practices are mob-like. Disgraceful. They get a hospital/medical group talked into a binding contract and then it’s like dealing with a cable tv company for those facilities. Just awful, and, it’s an important field.

Ok. I’m all in now. Thankful that FL chose blue. Also, TN is clearly giving all they can. Is the FL O line that good? Man, I wish JT was in our game with them.

The downfield blocking by FL is impressive. We used to do that. It is the secret to their success when the situation is do or die. At least in this game.

TN has to disrupt Trask, or, it will be a blowout. Otherwise, somebody needs to conjure up a running back.

Sorry buddy! Late to the party, My two sons had the day off and we spent the day hunting. They were successful so venison pastrami and cubed venison steaks are in the future.
What’d I miss? How bad did uf beat ut?
Just turned on LSU and Bama, put ice and a dash of bitters in a good whiskey, fixing to throw a nice NY Strip on the grill.

Two neck shots, no meat wasted. The little fuckers can shoot and I’ll take credit for that. 🙂

I prefer a neck shot as I like liver, gravy and onions.
My compliments on teaching your sons to shoot. Everyone should be a competent marksman; but, that’s an essential skill for a hunter. Few things irritate me more than finding a gut shot deer dead on the creek. Poor thing lying there trying to relieve that burning from a piss poor shot.

I can’t do liver of any sort, but love pickled deer heart.
I agree, and that is why I don’t archery hunt even though I love to shoot a bow, have several and can handle one as well as anybody.

Agreed on bow hunting. Though I’ve dressed a couple with exit wounds in the rib cage the size of a silver dollar. Weird reverse opening tips.

A friend turned me on to the recipe. I am a huge fan of charcouterie. Preservation of meat/game at home is becoming a lost art, IYAM. I remember my Great Grandfather curing hams in a smokehouse that was built in the late 1800’s. I got into it a while back and started curing hams, deer loins, making Tasso (fucking awesome! It’s easy and sooo good) corned venison, pastrami, Bresaola, smoked sausage… which naturally led to pickling some stuff. I found a recipe online and dude, it’s very good. It’s snack food, very tart and rich. But I do it with every deer we kill.

I’m down with curing pork, country ham and all the provincial stuff. I have been known to scarf one of those pickled dicks with a cold PBR on a hot, sweaty day. Great for replenishing electrolytes and relieving cramping when there’s no Brawndo available. Tasso and Bresaola? Not a clue. I have no issue with non-WASP foods. It’s simply that I’ve never been exposed to that. Man I’ll slay some sushi, sashimi, candied baby octopus, oak grubs seared in a steel helmet with Texas Pete, kimchi, fish with nuoc mam sauce and about anything except fuckn chitlins.

                  Adventurous eating for the win!
Tasso is a spiced and spicy slab of pork shoulder, gumbo or jambalaya is not what it should be without it. Also great in greens. Bresaola is cured and air dried tenderloin (venison for me). Slice it paper thin, dress it with olive oil and serve with good homemade bread and dry wine.
I’m kind of a geek about this stuff, obviously….

I’ve always kept an open mind when it comes to food in a restaurant. I’ll try most things once. I shamelessly enjoy Vienna sausages and potted meat fully aware of their ingredients. I figure I can eat anything including chitlins to survive.
Then I read “Nine Years Among The Indians” by Herman Lehmann. Got it on Kindle. As an 11 year old Herman was made to eat the contents of a freshly slaughtered calf’s intestine and worse. It’s an interesting read. A tale of survival and then thriving with the Apache and later Comanche. I would have liked to spend some time with this fellow. I recommend the book.

I know y’all hate running the ball, but damn. The fact that TN still tries to defend the run in this game is just plain stupid. They should have a 3 man rush and the rest are DB’s hawking with all they’ve got. Start blitzing when FL counters, if they ever do.

Wow, the difference between Monken and Chaney as OCs couldn’t be more stark. Monken had our WRs wide open against fu – all he needed was a QB who could chuck it.

On the other hand, Chaney is still dinking it for minimal yardage, even while behind by 3 TDs.

Can someone explain to me how 5 different football games being played at the same time ALL have commercials at the same time? Trying to flip around to see scores and every game is at commercial. Drives me nuts.
