Speaking of hot takes…

Snark aside, that was a fun, fun game to watch.  How many points would Coastal Carolina be favored over South Carolina if they faced off this Saturday?

Most fun watching a game I’ve had in a long time. Thought CC was a little too into it at times. Both played at a high level I thought. Best game of 2020, IMO.

Interesting… I watched a chunk of this game. Both teams looked small on both side of the line of scrimmage and seem to lack speed across the board on defense. I think Georgia would beat the living daylights out of either of these teams.

How can Coastal be this good and South Carolina, the flagship university of the state, be this bad?

    • They spent too long trying to convince themselves that Will Muschamp could be a decent head coach. And I bet they won’t be the last. It won’t be in the SEC, but at the rate mediocre coaching talent gets recycled in college football, someone else is going to make the Gamecocks’ (and Gators’) mistake before they come to their senses.

Coastal is good, not mid level SEC good at all…

I missed the game, but to answer your question CC would prob be a two touchdown favorite over USuck!
I pulled hard for CC when they played in the College World Series….and WON!

  6. Klatt is a dummy. BYU had not played anyone with a pulse. They lost their big NY6 payout on the teal turf of Conway, South Carolina. An interested Georgia team would rain hellfire on either of them.

Speaking of not playing anyone with a pulse, Cincinnati will get the same treatment from an interested Georgia team in Atlanta. I guarantee you Kirby will be playing the disrespect card with the rankings.

Wasn’t BYU given the chance to play Washington and declined?

Legge makes a good point- there is a ton of this overhype BS by Fox, ESPN, etc making you root for the downfall of one of the teams. Maybe it’s me, but instead of watching CC and BYU for what it is, you watch it in hopes of BYU getting stomped by Coastal so Joe Klatt (which ironically spell checks to Kmart) will shut the F up. Again, maybe it’s just me.

I very much enjoyed seeing the CC guys rough up the star qb after his interception to end the half. Hit rewind several times. That rattled Wilson and he never recovered the rest of the game. They reminded him that the south ain’t Salt Lake City and all that west coast finesse bs.

That was a candidate for best game of the year. I really enjoyed watching Coastal win! I’m also glad South Carolina did not hire their head coach.
