Second thoughts from Montana

Stewart Mandel ($$) has a revision he’d like to share.

I’ve mocked the committee’s continued adulation of No. 9 Georgia, but the Dawgs truly did look like a top-10 team in Saturday’s 49-14 rout of No. 25 Missouri. Georgia’s offense is so much more dynamic behind QB JT Daniels, who through three starts is completing 70.4 percent of his passes with six TDs and one INT. WR George Pickens had his best game of the season (five catches, 126 yards, two TDs). It’s too little, too late for the Dawgs this year, but never too early to get hyped for 2021.

Spread the word.

  1. Notre Dame has their “Play Like A Champion Today” sign that they slap on the way to the field. We should have a “Just Wait Until Next Year” sign for our boys to slap on the way back in.

Mandel is such a douche, even when he admits he was wrong he still more wrong.

Daniels has a far more impressive NINE TDs. Not six, ya dick.

Perfectly stated. We are out this year; but hopefully this will ‘shut up’ the Kannel’s of the world. If not, he and others will get an education come the bowl game; that I’m confident of.

Just a way for Stew to backslap Kirby and the Dawgs to apologize for his shitty commentary the last month. Keep showing your ass, Stew.

Speaking of self righteous pricks. Herbie picked Mizzou to beat UGA. Every other GD host picked UGA. Of course Herbie picked FU for the win as usual too.

Why does this sound so familiar? A team struggles with the better teams on the front end of their schedule, only dominate the back half which is filled with lesser opponents and then receives tons of hype based off of beating the Sisters of the Poor. Where have I heard this before?

Circumstances are a little different from the last ten Richt years.

Yes, some of the mistakes were due to terrible decisions by Kirby, specifically not going with Daniels for the Kentucky and Floriduh games, but you can’t say we lost a single game this season because the team wasn’t “up” for it, like what happened every single year in the last ten Richt years.

Even the Floriduh game itself was a “the whole world’s against us, Silent Bob,” kinda game with Davis, LeCounte, and Pickens out, and Rice playing hobbled as he was, and then our dynamic freshman wideout with the gruesome injury. We can’t help it if Sideshow Dan sold his soul for that win, and again, Kirby didn’t help matters.

It’s like people who keep pointing to the similar records between Richt and Kirby their first five years. They do so without any context.

Look, I am less happy with this season more than anyone here because the biggest mistakes Kirby keeps making are entirely preventable and I’m no longer certain he will learn from those mistakes, BUT I’m still trying to keep everything in proper context.

Kirby isn’t Richt. He’s better. And even though Richt did win an SEC Title in his fifth year and Kirby didn’t, these five Kirby years are better than Richt’s five years.

Now comes the big test. Will Kirby’s next five years be better than Richt’s years 6-10. He’d have to work hard for them not to be.

Corch, I was not referring to Richt. Kirby is night and day better than Richt, in addition to being an incredible recruiter. Yes, Kirby has his downfalls, many of which your spell out. No, what I was referencing is the Tennessee Vol annual November win streak. We are now living out their story.

Or is Tennessee under Booch and Pruitt living out Richt’s story (last 10 years, not first 5 years)?

          It’s all so confusing.

Just stop with the narrative that Kirby chose not to play JTD in either of those two games. No way in hell JTD doesn’t play against either Florida or Kentucky if he’s as healthy as we saw against Moo State. Kirby hates the Turds like the Ol’ Ball Sack hates us; it’s personal and visceral with him and he will do ANYTHING to beat them. JTD wasn’t physically ready.

I don’t care if you believe me or not; I choose to believe Daniels’ father, who has been quoted as saying the exact same thing.

You didn’t listen to anything Kirby had to say, did you?

He did not believe Daniels was his best chance to win. He said that. He said he stuck with Bennett and Mathis getting reps with the ones during the bye and against Kentucky and FU because he wrongly believed a mobile QB would HELP THE RUNNING GAME.

That’s what he said. He said Daniels knee didn’t keep him from playing. He basically admitted that his QB eval skills are poor and let it be known that he STILL cares more about running the ball than in running an efficient offense.

And he keeps making it worse, because now he refuses to give Daniels any credit or admit he was wrong. When Kirby tells you why he did something and let’s it slip who he still is, believe him.

There’s no way Jimbo or the TAMU AD would ruin their chances at the Playoff like that. Their best scenario is to hold tight.

Are they not playing the game with Tennessee? It’s still on their schedule.

Don’t know where Dawgs are ranked right now, but there aren’t eight better teams. I think they’ve finally come around and could be in the top five or so, but we’re never going to be able to prove it or find out.

After the carnage of bowl season is passed, and ND and tOSU lose badly to Bama and Clemson, you might just find 2-loss Georgia wind up in the top-4. Maybe even No. 3. Depending on if we beat a very game Cincinnati team in the Peach Bowl.

Beat clemson next year, and finally find a way to beat alabama and we’ll talk. Until then we’ll never be better than the fifth best program in the land, i.e. no playoff berth. To be the man you got to beat the man.

    Charlottedawg,
Assuming with all the risks that come with using that word. Given the state of our 2021 roster and our competitions loses.

We should have a better team than Clemson week one. Win that game and avoid injuries it really should be our year.
I’ll keep saying until proven wrong I think Kirby wins a NC in the next five years. Once he wins the first NC there will be the golden age of UGA football similar to what Dabo has done for Clemson.
