Do it yourself season

Make it to a bowl game, only to see it cancelled because of COVID?  No worries, says the NCAA.  Just come up with your own game:

Needless to say, 2020 is going to stay one strange season.

    In all seriousness, why not?
I personally would like to see this newfangled offense take on a stiff challenge. I wasn’t very interested in Vanderbilt. But if the players are up for a game against virtually any top 25 team, so am I. (Chanticleers, come on down!)

Could you imagine springing to go to a Bowl Game… let’s say Fiesta Bowl, where you spend money to go out west and then on Tuesday, you find out the other team won’t show because of COVID numbers? Talk about a punch in the gut/wallet.

Indeed, but you still are in Arizona in January. Hopefully you did it right and are staying at a nice resort in Paradise Valley, lounge by the pool a few days, spend the ticket money on food and cocktails, take it easy a few days enjoying the warm sunshine…

I’d love to destroy Georgia Tech just for the fun of it. Third string in to start the second half. Georgia already up 52-3. It would be great. Even better though, let’s play Florida again.

I’m sure ESPN is more than willing to facilitate.

Can we come up with our own names and branding? That could be fun.

Isn’t this adorable? You’d have to be able to find someone who wanted to play, too, you know? Judging by how it’s going for Georgia to find a game this weekend, I’d say it’d be just about impossible to pull this off unless it’s two scrub teams or something.
