It’s early signing day week!

On a scale of one to ten, how much negative recruiting do you think LSU is facing?

Heard the Olympic Committee is considering “shoe throwing” as a recognized competition…FU will seize on that for crootin’ purposes right there….

  3. Not good for Coach Oeaux.

Wow. All that and a bag man.

Not as much as a week ago. He offloaded some of that to Mullen. It`s easier to say do you want your son to play for a coach like than now than last week?

since Art Briles has quit his HS coaching job in anticipation of being welcomed with open arms to the snake handlers university, maybe he could provide some consulting hours for their internal investigation?

Why do reports go through the school and not to the police? I understand that some additional action could be taken by the school (both academic and athletic), but shouldn’t a report of sexual assault go to law enforcement and not a university? This has always confused me as there are certainly aspects of the fox protecting the hen house.

Agreed. It seems we swerved towards this unwritten diplomatic carve-out for a college campus, when it is neither an embassy nor an indian reservation.

It seems to me that the first call has to be to law enforcement and then the second call to your administrators. And I thought that had more or less been accepted after the situation at Penn State, but I guess not.

It really should for both alleged victim and alleged offender.

There are countless instances of men receiving punishments by the schools for crimes they were not guilty of.

Sounds like we ought to burn Red Stick to the ground. This is approaching Baylor-level violations.

Only in Education and Government jobs can these people not only be retained but promoted.

fwiw…I have elevated LSU’s fans to the most obnoxious in the SEC. Their cheers are beyond classless. That being said, LSU has three national championships the last 20 years. What we wouldn’t do for that!

What we wouldn’t do for that? Well, we wouldn’t offer up our female student population as sacrifice to predatory football players in order to keep them out of legal trouble and eligible to compete, that’s for damn sure. I, for one, would rather never win another football game or so much as see my alma mater even compete again before anyone at the University of Georgia stooped so low.

Not nearly enough. There are all sorts of fun and funny things that we can bash other programs for, but this is beyond the pale. I always rooted for LSU when they weren’t playing Georgia, but not anymore. It’s unconscionable that anyone would look the other way for this type of abuse just to win football games – much less multiple important, high ranking officials at a university.

I still don’t understand why college campuses are so different than the rest of the country when dealing with sexual assault issues. Shouldn’t everything begin and end with a criminal investigation by real police? Are students steered toward “reporting” incidents to some arbitrary office on campus, instead of immediately contacting the actual authorities? Any University and Title IX action should be in response to a real criminal investigation by the local (not campus) PD. Is Title IX and campus bureaucracy helpful or a hinderence in sexual assault cases?

I assume your last question was rhetorical.

On top of that, add the cash ol whats his name was handing out to LSU players right after the natty game…ON THE FIELD IN FRONT OF CAMERAS !
And on top of that the 6 figure no show job Vidal Alexander’s dad got.
You would think the hammer has to come down.
Is this enough to sway Maason Smith away from LSU and to us ? I’m not sure how serious Foreman is/was about LSU (sounds like its more of a Clemson/USC/Arizona State maybe us battle).
