Mr. Conventional Wisdom takes a victory lap so Greg Sankey doesn’t have to.

Since I’m not heading up to Athens today, Tony, you’ll have to forgive me if I feel a little empty right now.  But kudos to the SEC for not letting anything stand in the way of getting that sweet broadcast money.

It sucks for our seniors and fans, but if you go by quantity (and I’d argue quality), the SEC did better than any other league. I LOL’d at USC losing to Oregon last night after all the schlurping the pre-game announcers did for the PAC-12 to get a playoff shot.

Sankey did an excellent job this season. I like the 10 conference games better than the cupcake route.
