Kyle Trask: 'I most likely 100 percent am playing in the bowl game.'

So… he’s saying there’s a chance?

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Trask’s agent (which he’s not supposed to have): You WANT that bowl game, you NEED that bowl game. Your draft status ain’t THERE yet.

Will his favorite #84 be there for him…

No, he declared he’s skipping the bowl game and headed to the NFL the day after they lost SEC Championship.

Reminds me of one of my favorite lines from Veep, when Julia Louis-Dreyfus is trying to convince one of her less-than-competent underlings (and herself) that he can accomplish an act of White House subterfuge: “I am one hundred percent confident you can probably do this.”

Once Toney opts out along with Pitts, “most likely” drops to zero. Did he throw the ball to anyone else in 2020?

I’m impressed you’ve managed to put the memory of all those wheel routes in the Cocktail Party behind you. 😉

I’m going to be honest and say I think KT is an excellent QB. He benefited from an O line that knew how to protect him and some great receivers.
His one flaw is that his performance quickly deteriorates when defenses get pressure. He doesn’t like surprises coming from his blind side.
Yes, he’s ready for the NFL.
I’d hate to see him come back.

If I were an NFL general manager, I wouldn’t bet my job on him. I don’t see him working out well at the combine. He benefited from really good skill positions guys around him.
He’s a bigger Danny Wuerffel.

I agree with you about Trask, but Weurffel cashed some NFL sized checks. If Mike Glennon has a job in the league, Kyle Trask should get a chance somewhere. For the record, you like Fromm better than Trask? In the league, I mean.

Don’t know about Fromm in the league because he’s in a terrible situation in Buffalo where there is an entrenched starter. When Fromm had a poor combine, the handwriting was on the wall. For the record, I thought Fromm made a terrible error in judgment by coming out early especially after his performance dip the 2nd half of the year.
If Trask wins the Heisman, there’s going to be some GM that bets his (and his team’s) future on him. I don’t think he’s a franchise QB. There’s a reason Matthew Stafford is going to compile HoF numbers while the GPOOE is now a talking head.

I thought he’d already decided to play in one of the all-star games, like the Senior Bowl?

With Pitts and Toney gone, I don’t see Trask being better next year. The draft class might be weaker, but I wouldn’t be on it.
Where does he rank though? My guess is 5th or 6th QB.

I hope he comes back. That way we can make him cry again, just like the other night. That was such a beautiful thing.

I’m with you. Something about Florida QBs I just don’t like (most especially including Tim Tebow). I’d like us to have another shot at him.
