Envy and jealousy, one sentence edition

I didn’t think anything could make me smile about yesterday’s events at the Capitol…

I needed that.

In that case they would have held on for about 30 minutes, then the whole city would have collapsed into a sinkhole.

Arn’t we all – and Tuberville immediately shamed the state he was elected to represent – of course, if you live in glass houses . . . . . .

Alabama is capable of shame? Are you sure?

Alabamians shudder at the thought of collective stereotyping. Believe me.

But you know that Alabamians are not the best. They’re racists. They’re ignorant. They’re Bible-thumping morons. And I’m sure that some are good people.

He should’ve gone ahead and objected to Georgia’s electors. Because we all know that he’s good at offering Georgia smarmy advice that nobody asked for nor wanted. It would have been extremely on brand.

Also, he ought to be used to serving in the minority with no real power after all that time at Auburn.

I needed that as well, thank you.

I honestly believe that as a country we are at our nadir, and I think we’ve eclipsed 1968 as the worst year in American history (not including the civil war era).

With that said, I strongly feel things will start improving very soon for all of us. Invoking the 25th amendment asap would certainly help in that healing and recovery.
