Shit, I meant to post this yesterday and forgot.
Mea culpa, Zooker. 2021 keeps looking up from a blogging perspective.

Ron Zook is back in the B1G! #Maryland makes it official and hires Zook, the former Illinois coach, as special teams coordinator/outside linebackers coach. Terps coach Mike Locksley served as Zook's offensive coordinator when Illinois went to the Rose Bowl in 2007.

“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23
Man. Mike Locksley picking from the bottom of the barrel, isn’t he?

The team still had the scared of Florida mentality. Georgia lost to at least 3-4 inferior Florida teams during the time from Goff til Kirby.

You guys still don’t understand this do you? Spurrier made it a priority to beat Georgia. FU was already playing the game annually in state 60 miles from its campus. Spurrier got the FU AD to change the Turds’ schedule so they had an off week before the game—but we didn’t. Too big an advantage for GU. Richt complained about it for years but B-M did nothing. Finally the UGA schedule got changed around 2006 or so to give the Dawgs the prior week off too. I have on good authority that the only reason Georgia changed the schedule was because Sonny Perdue called Mike Adams and chewed his ass off about allowing that situation to continue so long. Once that change was made the series evened up and later became one-sided again in favor of the Dawgs.

Im 49 years old. And your telling me I dont get it that Spurrier doesn’t like Georgia, when he wasn’t even the coach, bc a bye week allows a bad UF team to beat a decent GA team.
Geez dude. Furthermore, I need 30 years of data on bye weeks bc I believe battle rythym is just as important
