Boy, if there’s a “we hardly knew ye” story, surely it’s this one:
Georgia reserve wide receiver Tommy Bush is leaving the program.
The fourth-year junior told the Athens Banner-Herald he has put his name in the transfer portal.
Bush played in two games in 2018 and another in 2019, making one catch against Georgia Tech for a yard.
He said he dealt with a groin injury as a sophomore.
“UGA did a lot of good things for me, I became a lot better player,” Bush said. “They definitely helped me in recovery.”
Between the groin and being hit by a truck, he spent most of his time in Athens behind the 8 ball. Best of luck to you going forward, Tommy. Sounds like you’re due.
Would love to see him land at FSU and do some damage to the Seminoles, Jackets and Clemson

Good luck to the guy, and to all our players in the portal. Hope they find success.
Oh, and on an unrelated note, I just got my first shot today. The lady who checked me in is named Kirby Dooley. I’ll take that as a good omen.

I hope he finds success where ever he goes. This is bound to happen when you have a room full of 4 and 5 stars and only 1 football to share. Some will just get caught up in the numbers game. I have always wished the best for those who leave that do not try to burn down house on the way out (Mays and his 9 fingered daddy comes to mind).

Regarding Mays, his situation is a perfect example of the saying “what comes around, goes around”. He couldn’t be in a better place than UT. Hope he likes the decision he made.

She would be bronzed if her last name was Field….

Was she from Wrightsville? That’s important.

I’d hoped Bush could make a comeback and have a good year, maybe like Javon Wims or Lawrence Cager. I know we’ve built some depth at WR, but with the rash of injuries we’ve had across the board at WR, I still have some reservations about him leaving. There’s no shortage of pass-happy teams that would love to take a flyer on Bush.

I hope he finds a place that he can shine. If you are going to deal with injuries Ron our son is the guy to rehab under.

Can’t blame him. The receiver room is going to be tight and he has one last chance.
Btw, why isn’t anyone talking about Blaylock’s return?
Can you imagine:
Arian Smith and Pickens at wide out
Blaylock and Burton in the slot
Washington at TE
Ho-ree-sheet I think I need a cup of coffee. Lest we forget any semblance of that group with Cook in the backfield, and it’s literally Russian Roulette for the opposing defense.

Not to mention Kearis Jackson and hopefully Rosemy-Jacksaint

I liked what little we saw of Rosemy-Jacksaint. I hope he has a quick and complete recovery.

Blaylock is going to have to beat out Kearis Jackson now. Here‘s how I see the skill depth chart (going into spring):
QB – Daniels (duh), Beck, Bennett, Vandagriff
RB – White, Cook, McIntosh, Milton, Edwards, Carroll (just damn – 6 blue chips)
FL – Pickens (duh), Smith
SE – Burton, Robertson, Rosemy-Jacksaint
Slot – Jackson, Blaylock, Robertson (I would love to see if Arian Smith could be a matchup nightmare in the slot)
TE – Washington (duh), Fitzpatrick
I think the battle to be the slot guy is going to be an interesting battle this spring. It’s going to hard to knock off Jackson in that spot.

You know, for some reason I was thinking that Kearis had graduated. Man we have an embarrassment of riches at receiver for once…and I agree on Rosemy-Jacksaint. With his size he could step in at TE from time to time too.

Good luck, Tommy. You had really bad injury luck here. Go make it happen.
