Close, but no cee-gar

This is what drives you crazy, if you’re a Dawg fan.

Well, shit.  I mean, let’s face it — you almost have to work to win that many games over that amount of time without winning a natty.  Or even [going seventeen seasons before] playing for a natty, for that matter.

  1. Man, Goff drove us into the ditch.

Don’t disagree about Goff, but the data is from the 2000 season forward, and Goff had been the ex-coach for 5 years. Not being argumentative but I missed the point about Goff.

what does the arc of uga football look like if ‘92 plays out differently for Goff’s Dawgs…Hastings holds on to the damn ball vs ut and uga didn’t take the gators lightly?

      Don’t blame Andre for UT.

      Blame 4th and 14.

We went for 80 on the first play vs. the gators. They’d kicked our asses two years straight going in. I don’t think we took them lightly. They were determined to shut down Hearst and we let them. And we had a really shitty second quarter on defense.

Ray Goff was never going to beat Steve Spurrier ever.

Didn’t we play for the NC in 2017? Did I read something wrong? Not trying to be a smart ass (rare).

Also, it took the Goff and Donnan era for us to get back to where we were at the end of the Dooley era. Kirby has us in the NC red zone, now we just have to punch it in.

  6. We played for a national title in 2017 of course, but I would also say we played for the national title in 2012. It just happened to be in the SEC championship game instead.

This is the feeling I get when the trendy stat of Mullen and his record at FL keeps getting thrown about. Yeah, he has a high win percentage but we all know it won’t amount to much.

That’s not to say that I don’t think Kirby can win championship’s, I think CKS will break through several times. He’s just got to keep all the plates spinning.

Well we got the Florida monkey off our backs. Next up Bama/National Title. Probably in that order.

I was lucky enough to be on campus for the first 3 years of Ray Gump. Sigh.
